So many people hate Draco just because he was rude to 'The Golden Trio' earlier on. But even looking just at this scene, you can see that Draco is regretting everything. He was forced to be a deatheater. His parents made him. I have sympathy for him.
At first, he's completely bought into the crap that his parents have fed him. Even in Order of the Phoenix, he's still hateful and resentful. But by Half Blood Prince, you can see him starting to change. He's still prejudiced against muggle borns, but he's regretting being this way. In book 7, you can see that he's pretty much Voldemort's slave - he doesn't want it anymore than Harry does.
MalfoyManor I love Draco Malfoyy he is not evil he has been forced 2 be a death eater Draco is innocent &seems a reallyy nice person he doesn't deserve 2 be a death eater he deserves better than that he is gorgeous Draco didn't wnt 2 be a death eater he jst wanted 2 be happyy instead of upset he has been forced what 2 do I feel sorryy for him I love youuuu Draco I wouldn't listen 2 Voldemort &Bellatrix there evil Draco youu deserve better &his mum Narcissa 2 Xxx
The point is that initially he was not 'mean'. He is a downright racist and classist (Mudbloods and poor scum, the Weasleys). I love how people try to downplay the bigotry. I understand it was the influence of his family but Sirius (who was a bully as well) was not a blood purist, muggle-born hater. I get his character arc and the shift from book 6 onwards, but please don't forget what a racist he was prior to that. There is no defence in favor of Malfoy that can convince me otherwise.
I know many people regret the deleted scene showing Snape's face but I love his small yet telling appearance in these scenes. The iconic shape, silhouetted from behind (which David Yates would use again so exquisitely in DH2) showing us that Snape is already awake, watching and waiting, aware (for whatever reason) of what is to come. On the soundtrack you hear the wing beats and cries of night birds and as he stands there it's as if a cloud has scudded across the moon, giving the impression of darkness falling upon him. One of many examples where the subtlety and understatement of Alan Rickman's performance is echoed and enhanced by the same qualities in David Yates's direction.
this is the only movie out of all of them that my heart really goes out to Draco, true he was mean to the 'The Golden Trio' earlier on. But even looking just at this scene, you can see that Draco is regretting everything. He was forced to be a deatheater. His parents made him. I have sympathy for him,i often picture myself along side him trying to comfort him in a way i could, and i am sure that fans of him would picture the same thing.
Yeah Draco is regretting it. But you know what really proves that he's a good guy? There's a deleted scene wherein Draco runs to Harry and gives his wand in DH2. He ran straight past Voldemort after he was called to go to the dark side when he found out Harry was alive. He could've died. Video title is Draco Malfoy as the good guy
Draco is a rude git, but he’s not evil. His upbringing is what truly molded him into who and what he is, yet even then you can see his hesitation and doubt.
The Astronomy Tower battle was originally supposed to be portrayed in the 6th movie. However the filmmakers, and Warner Bros. decided to cancel it and have multiple combat scenes for the final battle of Hogwarts in Deathly Hallows part 2. Now I can say it was a good decision. Malfoy: "...Don't you understand? I have to do this, I have to kill you, ..or...he's going to kill me...." The 6th book was the first time I started to feel genuine sympathy for Draco. 6th book is when I realized Draco had to hate Gryffindor, Harry and Hermione for good reasons. Gryffindor is Slytherin's enemy, Harry is the enemy of Voldemort and Hermione is a muggle born which every pure blood in the wizarding world is supposed to hate. He was never evil, never would be.. Voldemort forced Malfoy, a 16 year old boy, to murder the only wizard Voldemort ever feared ..Draco's father was already rotting in Azkaban, his mother Narcissa scared to death presumably at Malfoy Manor.....

Helena Bonham Carter is a QUEEN she's definitely the best actress in the whole Harry Potter franchise
Agreed

-_- -_- yeah but it's not in the books, so I wouldn't put that much weight on a deleted scene.
The silent nightwalk to destination.Tom Felton deserved an Oscar for this scene definitely. One of iconic scene in movie history
Draco is not bad boy. He is a good boy. But he's father.. He's father is a badass.
Draco is a rude git, but he’s not evil. His upbringing is what truly molded him into who and what he is, yet even then you can see his hesitation and doubt.
Tom Felton deserved an Oscar for his spellbound acting-one of the most iconic scene of Harry Potter
Excellent acting from Tom Felton. Bonham-Carter as well but that’s normal for her

I think it’s the darkest scene in Harry Potter
I really want to know the soundtrack behind this scene. Does somebody know what's the name nor was it released?
Watch the ‘in Noctem’ scene. It’s basically this but it was cut. It’s really good and the music is very good and chilling.
Theres a spotify playlist with all the soundtracks
It's called "In Noctum"
