I finally did it. It works after so much tries for weeks. And why ? Because the Earinger Comp named send for return and return for send (SC). Holy crap ;-)) Thank you so much Mister for opening my eyes !
Thank you for finally explaining ducking excellently! Even I understand . . after years of belonging to DA (Duckers' Anonymous); consists of producers who avoid the subject of ducking esp. w/ drums. I subbed. Good job!
You probably dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me atm then you can watch pretty much all the new movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my girlfriend these days :)
What people NEVER explain is whether Audio ducking and the Sidechain compression are different or is auto ducking something that can be achieved by side chain compression
Ever so sorry to bother you again I've upgraded my mixer and managed to get the ducking to work with the help of your video so thank you very much but I can only get the audio ducking to work on the mic channels where the 4 inserts are located but is there a way to get the music to duck with a music source connected to the stereo channels so l can utilize them instead of have a second mixer thanks in advance
Hi Glenn, Glad you have it sorted not the mic channels, however unfortunately unless the stereo channels have inserts you won't be able to get the ducker to work and will have to use the mic channels but with 20dB inline pads so they can also work with line level.
I have a behringer xenyx x1204 usb mixer which has no inserts it has aux sends and returns and various other Jack's I also have a behringer autocom pro mdx1400 compressor is there any other way I can do this I have been searching for weeks online and cant find another way to hook my compressor up for ducking i desperately need it for my station thanks in advance
Thanks for your explanation. This is the best analogue side chain compression tutorial on UA-cam.

@@basesound4569 you dont need inserts. you can go with this CDplayer->input of compressor____Output from compressor->Line in on mixer :-)

Hi Glenn, I have looked at your mixer and unfortunately because of the lack of insert send and returns on the channels it's not possible to do it.
@@basesound4569 ok thank you that's a shame looks like I need to upgrade again that's another mixer in my set up that's obsolete now hahah
if your audio source is stereo i gather your compressor must be stereo?
you would use ch2 on the compressor
or another single ch compressor
@@paulyvinyl2361 What single channel compressor do you know of?
MP3 😂
