Hi! Ego is so funny and has this great stature about her! Sherri, thank you, too, for talking about a prenup agreement BUT you missed the most important reason today - COLLEGE DEBT. Without a prenup, you are responsible for that debt, should your marriage end for what ever reason (even if the person tragically dies). If you have joint college debt, good luck trying to get a house, car, or anything that involves credit. Prenups leave that college debt with the individual person. Also, found out the hard way, always have something in each of your names when you get married, e.g., one person have the gas bill in his/her name and the other have the electric bill in his/her name. Pay those two bills on time, every time. That way you have inidividual credit established. With joint credit, you think that co-owning 2 houses and 7 cars in your lifetime will establish your credit? You are wrong. If it was a joint account, you don't have individual credit. Big mistake.
