Galneryus are the real deal. Syu the guitarist is in my opinion at the top of neo-classical guitarist in the world. And one of the best shredders I've seen. and he's been so since he first started his first band in the late 90s.
btw this video is only half of the song, the actual song is 15 minutes long.
This song is somewhat based on Tchaikovsky's violin concerto in D major. One can hear pieces of the 1st and 3rd movements. What Galneryus did was taking one masterpiece and transformed it into another masterpiece.
Once more demonstrating the correlation between classical music and metal.
Tchaikovsky must be overjoyed and very excited in heaven.

I managed a Music store for about 10 years. Sold instruments and gave lessons. I would put live concert DVD's on the TV all the time for people to watch while they were in the store. Galneryus was a constant on the rotation. No matter what, they were there lol. The best comment I heard from someone was the Guitarist (SYU) was so good that it both inspired people to play and practice more or just want to quit lol.

Pretty much every violin concerto (at least the fast movements) from the baroque to the modern era could be turned into an epic guitar solo.

Syu is my favourite BUT a fun fact- back in the day he actually failed to cover well LOUDNESS' Solider of Fortune :D if You look up the cover Galneryus made of this song the guitar solo totally blows compared to the original, he didn't even attempted to play the hardest part.

"That was soooo freaking bad@ss..." Yes classical music is bad@ss 😉 based on Tchaikovsky's violin concerto. That solo was almost note for note the solo violin part on the third movement! Best power metal band and SYU is what you would call a guitar god!

For me they are not only classical metal band.. but they are truly super profesional musician with the heart of metal.

@@TravelingWithKiwi Leda was the bassist for Galneryus at one point. He played guitar for a band called Deluhi which broke up shortly after they formed, but they released some incredible songs and his guitar playing is amazing. I believe he also played for Babymetal for some time? Might still be doing that as well. He also plays guitar for a band called Far East Dizain, but they aren’t very active. Leda released a couple of solo albums titled Mirage of Gemini and Cygnus Lake. Hope this all helps.
He is currently probably the best guitarist in the world.. like at number 1
the solo is very clean not just random notes and noise very nice to hear the first time i herad it like 8 or 10 years ago i remember i hear multiple time the solo part because i wasd thinking this is too good !

This is one of the best Symphonic power metal that I've hared. I'd suggest listening to their song "hunting for your dream" it's one of my favorite along with this one.

yes, galneryus is one of the best power meta in japan. you should check their another song like destiny or the force of courage and they are even better when doing it in live version
Just a heads up, the song actually is almost 14 minutes long with this PV being the cut version, it features 2 more solos which both are even more intense and amazing than the ones you heard in the cut version. Basically you only heard around 50% of the song, so when you have the chance check the full version out on spotify to get even more amazed.
