In other words, the marketplace isn't a scam, it's just, as the name suggests, a community marketplace. There isn't a set price for items, but almost everything from the game can be bought or sold. If you buy a stupid item and regret it, that doesn't make the marketplace a scam, that makes you stupid
I've been saying this for a while. I think a lot of tf2 fans are really blind to just how bad tf2s monetization is. I am REALLY surprised there hasn't been a class action against valve for this, plus the gambling and everything else they do. It is all very shady
@@spbacon everyone is really hush hush about it. It’s been 2 weeks, they’ve closed their support discord, but this has indeed happened in the past so only time will tell I guess
well its impossible to avoid due to the chat restriction if you dont spend 5 dollars in steam (yes getting premium in tf2 is not enough to unlock the chat restriction), and when you get in the economy, you dont stop spending.
TF2 nostalgia spending Christmas cash on Mann Co. Store craft hats💀
omg i did this too

Very useful video, will be subscribing. Wish I knew this before buying taunts from the MannCo store.
This is the first and most important advice that should be given to beginners.
I remember buying the class starter kits before learning how cheap weapons are

i got scammed because the trade didnt go through and was an error plus when i went to my inv it saqid go to your trades to resend but it wasnt there
Mann co store is still useful though cosmetics, paint keys are cheaper that the community market and mvm tickets are cheaper compared to the market
Mann co store prices are a joke they did. Dont take it too seriusly
Still better than OW2
I bought a handful of duel kits. They're only 3 cents on trading sites.
Luckily my first buy on tf2 was a key! I learned about the market shortly after it
theres another mannco store which is also a big scam :(
Mannco shut down and took my $200 with them. And that's just my balance I had
I'm pretty sure they got hacked and are working on a fix.
It's a shame they're not being very communicative about it though.

@@spbacon very large portion of “rug pulls” or scams come with the simple excuse of being hacked.
someone is always responsible for something
good...
Yeah, I spent $5 on a direct hit back in 2013 lol
My first purchase in tf2 was the fuckin classic because i thought it looked cool. It was like $5 or more
I wont say its a scam bcz official economy has nothing to do with community economy
That's true, but it certainly is the closest thing to one, including the feeling of regret :)
tf2s official microtransaction is the most scumiestet shit ever
who could've guessed
Do you have a discord?
im jimmy and good vid 👍👍
How about not buying anything and not feeding into the micro transactions?
This
I've been feeding the machine since 2011
