      Levrone and flex have both said they could’ve given more during their careers. Yates claims he didn’t miss a meal in 10 years. That was probably the difference, I’d class levrone and flex as more talented than Yates. Yates even said he regretted showing Kevin how to perform bent over rows correctly because the next time he Kevin onstage his back was insane.

    Back in the day Dorian was like a mythical figure. All of a sudden he was just “ there”. He was everything a bodybuilder at that time wasn’t. This guy just pretty much stayed off the radar until it was time for Mr. O. Now that he is more known to the public I just admire him even more. The guy just has something special about him. When he speaks you just cannot stop listening. He’s right up there as one of the best of all time. For me a true inspiration, and a hell of an interesting guy. The Shadow!

      And? WHERE is Ronnie today? More in the hospital than in his house. He spends all his money on surgeries. He doesn't have a life anymore. He may be even more massive than Yates, but stupid as a chair(stupid as a chair- a german phrase). He was asked what he would do differently if he is born again in the next life as a bodybuilder. He said he would do 4 repetitions with 390 kg squat. He would break himself again. Unfortunately he didn't learn anything. Intense training does something special to the fascia over the muscles that increases separation. Jeremy Buendia trains only somewhat intensely and it already gives him great muscle separation and quality. Dorian trained much more intensely and on almost every set, so he got that crisp grainy look.

      @rob foster vince taylor was so smart he fucking tore his biceps pumping back backstage before a show, with a 15 lb dbel LOL go look it up
      dorian didnt tear his arm muscles because of the style he used.He simply trained too heavy too close to the show, which was a strategy mistake. a bb wont add mass when is cutting and getting to very low BF and hydration levels, and he knew. But I guess even he had an ego
      dunno about others who trained harder than him
      most of the guys in the 90s were volume trainers-flex, ray
      nasser and ronnie were similarly strong but had very sloppy form and used tons of partials so it dont count
      cormier was a very hard trainer and even he when he went to do legs with yates he puked, so STFU
      Levrone trained hard but only on pressing movements where his huge tris helped but not on leg/back day

      @Dj_M1 According to Ronnie himself, he was better in 1998 yes. But according to everyone else 1999 is superior. In 1998 it was 3 points between him and Flex, but in 1999 it was a whooping 20 points different with a perfect score.
      Lots of experts though for some reason, think 2001 Arnold Classic was his best. But I personally don't agree with that. 2001 was an off year for Ronnie Imo.

    Dorian is absolutely the most dedicated and self-motivated bodybuilder who's ever lived. A game changer. A champion. The one who did the most with what he had. Best back of all time. The first to hit 250 in his condition. Nobody can ever take his accomplishments away. He also defeated arguably the best array of competitors. Chills.

    Dorian broke the mould with his muscle mass back in the day, I remember going to wag Bennett’s gym in east London where Arnie trained back in the day and seeing a poster of Dorian and thinking, wow he is huge, but when I see people like Nick Walker now it’s all gone to another level, enough respect to Dorian, I’m sure he helped pave the way for Ronnie and Jay and future bodybuilder’s……….?

    Those 93 black and white pics were insane ,,,Dorian had weak biceps and his chest wasn't the best but everything else was just immense and so conditioned very worthy winner of the sundow

    Those who saw his physique in person witnessed a density to his physique that is generally not visible in these low quality videos from the nineties - it gave him the unique edge over his competitors. To this day I do not believe any professional bodybuilder has emulated that degree of conditioned rock hard musculature.

    • @TheLusianPopa
      @TheLusianPopa 4 роки тому +1

      yeah he was crazy dense and bone dry to a point where he made guys that were "in shape" look soft and watery
      he really overdieted to get that look, these days no one overdiets anymore
