Loved this video!! I’ve lived here for about a year so most of the time when I watch videos like this, it’s stuff I’ve already done or at least know about. Your list was very unique and some of them I didn’t even know about! (Like the sandbar near K Bay). I also loved how you recorded your experiences! I’ve been wanting to do a shark dive for ages but had never seen footage of what it’s like :D I thought I wanted to do the cage dive but now I think I might want to do the free swim!
I grew up there and visit often and I’m always making sure it didn’t miss anything new. Heading there in 2 weeks. Can’t wait to hit the sand bar and the catamaran sail!

a lot of Mineral sunscreens dont say "reef safe" but do appear to be reef safe, so paying attention to active ingredients is key.

Rock-A-Hula is also something super fun to do in Oahu!! It is located in Waikiki at the Royal Hawaiian Center. It is a professional show filled with dancing featuring legends in concert such as Micheal Jackson, Elvis Presley, and local Hawaiian artists. There is also a luau that takes place before the show as well!

Highly, highly recommend Haleiwa Joe’s (Kaneohe Location!!) for an upscale dinner. It’s mine and my husband’s favorite for date night. The food is outstanding and the entire restaurant has panoramic views of Haiku Gardens. They don’t take reservations, so get there at least 30 minutes before they open, put your name on the waiting list, and stroll through the gardens until your table is ready. It’s an unbeatable experience!

I would say bring your kid when your kid is old enough to remember the vacation. I get that parents want to travel ASAP but if you want your kid to be involved, appreciative, or what ever reason for bringing a very young children anywhere....I would wait til they're older, like 5. Also, if the child cant swim, safe to just not be by water in general. Just trying to save ya money, honestly why bring someone who isn't going to remember the difference between a Monday back home where ever they live vs Monday on vacation.

I booked with the same company and my 2 year old is coming along, I know the person who commented said not to bring your child but do what makes you happy! this company has a relaxing luxurious floating lounge platform that you and your toddler can enjoy. The water its not so high all the time. My toddler LOVES water and its going to have so much fun! don't let Karen discourage you from making memories with your family. call them ahead of time as well to ask if they have the proper floating devices for your toddler but if they don't ABC store can definitely have them!

How much would you advise to bring to Hawaii,Oahu for someone first time ?
It depends on what you plan on doing, and if you plan on cooking a few of your meals at home or if you are eating out all day.
My first time I over packed SO much. Now I bring maybe 4 or 5 outfits for 2 weeks. I basically just wear flats/water shoes, shorts, a bikini, and bring a shirt wherever I go. Everything fits in a backpack and I put that backpack in a suitcase. I always leave with more than I left with! Remember, you can get what ever you need while you're there, shampoo, conditioner, sunscreen. It helps when trying to pack lightly.

I find it funny that you tell us to use REEF SAFE sunscreen but you link REEF FRIENDLY and you said that is not the one to use.
All good sunscreen is reef safe.
