  • Big Air 96" ceiling fan Install, Demo This is just like your ceiling fan in your home just bigger. This fan will help circulated the air helping keep it cooler. Not a fan that will blow you away just circulate the air. It won't stir up any saw dust while I'm working, just a slight breeze perfect for the shop or even a garage.
    Follow me as I add structural support for the fan. Then assemble the fan. Test, fix any issues

    I’m buying this exact model for my living room in my house. A little overkill but going to be an awesome conversation piece!!

      Jremeee I've seen these in many homes especially with vaulted ceilings. They are great nice industrial look and conversation starters.

    This fan is so quiet ! I am looking for a fan for my kitchen which is quite large. A 72" would be great for us. Thanks so much for this demo! Appreciated!

    Bought three of these fans based on this video and after getting the first one installed no amount of pairing the remote has made the fan turn pass what I’m guessing is speed 1. Of I turn the power off at the breaker and then back on the fan will go full speed.

    Nice video, thanks for fixing some issues I may encounter. I see your fan at high speed had no wobble, did you have to balance any blades once they we all installed?

    • @TheShackHome
      @TheShackHome  3 роки тому +1

      scokeing once I got the initial problem fixed it works like a charm. no wobble smooth as can be. No need for any balance. If I remember though I believe it came with something incase it was a little out of balance. Mine wasn't so I had no need.

    I had a 4 blade fan which you felt the air pulsating. I replaced that fan with a 9 blade fan. I don’t feel the air pulsating anymore it just feels like steady blowing air now.

      Oh yeah there’s a place I worked it through the school the high school in the special ed class Call the community food bank I think and they had a large well two large rite hite ceiling fans also for blade and some other belt drive warehouse or shop fans, I think the air King was a 36 inch and if this was the heat Buster and it was a 42 inch probably I think but I think the fan blade on the air king is made to be direct drive because they’re flat patched and don’t blow King was a 36 inch and if this was the heat Buster and it was a 42 inch probably And I think the air king fan blade is made to be on a direct driven motor. Where is the heat buster if that’s what it was and look like one but anyway where is the heat buster it may to be on the belt drive motor or is made to be built driven and below turn the air lower RPMs which I think is pretty cool tons of air not turn the air

    Thanks fro making this video. It was very informative. I live in the desert. It gets hot. This year I think the highest was 118 degrees F. My shop is about 1100 sqft. I have 18 ft ceilings. My question is, does it just move the air around or is there a drop in temp. Have you measured a temperature change? Is it more tolerable in your shop? Was it worth the investment? I have been looking for a ceiling fan but I can't afford the Macro and Big Ass Fans. I can't justify the price. Plus my wife would KILL me. Would you recommend this? Would you buy it again or would you by something else? Thanks.

      Troy yes and No. I just did a video during the day and my shop was 108 inside. I had a fan with a mister on it plus my big fan including an atic fan trying to blow out the hot air. Problem was it was only sucking in HOT air. Just misserable in the shop so much so I called it quits and went in the house till the sun started going down till it did cool down more. There is only so much any fan can do when it is just plane HOT. The only real solution is a good swamp type cooler or a good mister on a fan. I only have 2 nozzles really need 2 - 3 mor to make any differance in the heat. If the temp is mid 90's or lower it does help move the air around so ir doesn't feel so stagnant. Moving Hot air feel more like an over to cool the shop down you really need something to cool the air to make a real differance.

      LeeMan I just cleaned the blade off in preparation of hot days ahead. It still works great no issues at all circulates the air as needed and when it gets hot in the shop i kick it on and i can feel the difference in minutes. when it starts heating up i run it all the time.

    I have seem a even much larger industrial ceiling fan when I came to a large restaurant hall in a village.
    The fan was hold in the main hall, about 10 meters above the ground, by about 4 METERS WIDTH for each blades, and 8 METERS of total radius. Spinning silently however, for about one rotation per second.
    I can’t tell the very feeling when I came into the hall and saw that monster holding above. Through, other waiters and guests seems got used of that thing.

    • @TheShackHome
      @TheShackHome  2 роки тому

      Not really cooler just help move the air at round. My shop get hot like 108 even with the fan and a mister there is a point your just moving HOT air round. But when it cools down it does make a difference. Unfortunately my shop was not insulated when it was built so when the temp hits triple digits we don’t work in the shop till evening when is more manageable to work.
