I totally agree with Lady C. They should have been wearing all the regalia of an enormous Royal Event and and not projecting a £ store event.

I agree with Lady C, women today don’t know how to dress. The description of them looking as if they are at a cheap tatty wedding was bang on. But, a lot of the people were just ordinary and probably weren’t accustomed to real formality.
I noticed some shabby clothes at the coronation!
Frankly most people don't know how to dress to go to work. Look at parliament, apart from a few Tory members, the lack of sartorial sense is astounding. When I was growing up, British men were looked up to being the standard of well tailored style. While I don't expect men today to look like Sir Anthony Eden, but the average manager of any US bank dresses better. The women in parliament look like they are working for a non profit.
@@mtngrl5859 Oh you are so right ! At least in the old days women took a pride in their appearance, although the present crop of MP’s look like shabby down market councillors. They can’t even comb their hair or keep out of the biscuit tin.
@@5578pedro I agree. It really doesn't that much effort to look put together. I live in California and was meeting a client at the Google campus to sign some papers. I was dressed simply but professionally in a sheath dress with a blazer, and appropriate shoes ( 2-3 inch block heels), and the reaction I received was amazing. Several people asked my client for my business card-- I'm a real estate agent- even though IMO the majority of employees have morphed from casual to sloppy.

I cannot think of two more exciting and desirable additions to the core of working Royals than Lady Louise and the Earl of Severn. They come without the embarrassment of the York family, and have been impeccably behaved. I cannot wait to see Lady Louise develop into the singular and unique beauty she is destined to be.
Excuse me but the York family is all but not an embarrassment 😡! Prince Andrew is a war hero who faught for his country during the Falkand war! Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are as impeccable as Lady Louise and Viscount Severn!

Sorry but I expected Queen's from other countries to wear their tiaras, This was all about Camilla being the only one allowed to wear BLING, it broke my heart to see Kate wear that cardboard tiara.
And Kate shouldn't even have worn a cardboard tiara. Why do that??? HER TIME WILL COME!!!!
Well Camilla was crowned Queen 🙄and tiaras are only worn in evening events when required 🇬🇧
@@marthienel2190 she is a princess, so would have been nice to see her in a tiara, would also prefer to see more of Princess Catherine and less of Camilla, do not hate the woman, but not a fan either, if she makes KC happy, all well and good, but there is no need to shove her in our faces. We all know how she got to where she is!! Can only imagine how William and Harry truly feel about her becoming queen.

I agree with Lady C. insofar that I missed the robes and coronets of the aristocracy at my second coronation viewing and I too was horrified at how people were dressing: sandals and open toed shoes! Heaven forebid. People everywhere have become so sloppily clothed nowadays, even here in Italy.
Agree...thank goodness for Princess of Wales and Princess Charlotte' head pieces...that help to soothe my disappointment 😉
I could not agree more to all you said! In spite of the really touching ceremony I was really shocked how the most people were dressed. Not even suitable to an ordinary wedding ☹👎👎👎👎!

Princess Anne speaks the truth that the monarchy shouldn’t be slimmed down. She has done over 400 engagements per yr. for most of her life. There are more needed & she is aging. The British monarchy represents the UK which is large along with the Commonwealth & they need many people to represent them.

I watched the coronation on the Royal Family’s own channel . I didn’t see what people were wearing. Watching for who’s wearing what, is for Royal Weddings. I had the liturgy from The Church of England, I followed the service, and enjoyed the religious parts.
I agree with LadyC. Some of the women looked as if they were popping out to do some shopping. Nothing flashy at all unfortunately. Maybe we are having to tighten our belts but for one day surely they could have pushed the boat out. I felt decidedly let down.

Some years ago Charles fell playing polo and severely injured his shoulder/arm, this could be the reason for the swelling in one hand.

I do feel that more of the family should have been on balcony.
Aristocrats have tiaras in their possessions. So do the RF. Surely of they wore their existing tiaras, there would be no additional expenditures and we, the Little People, we would have enjoyed all the sparks and glitter. We Need pomp and pageantry every now and then. Even as a foreigner I enjoy British pomp and in that respect, I feel a bit deprived by the coronation.

She does have good info, but when she starts on Diana, I fast forward. Princess Diana, was no saint, was not perfect, came from damaged childhood, and then got a raw deal when marrying into the royal family, had affairs. And yet many still love her, WHY, because she had a good heart, while being mistreated, misunderstood, and disrespected. Yet, Lady C keeps going hard on Diana, but seems to tread lightly when it comes KC and his camilla.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie would make Great Working Royals and should be Seniors! It is Charles that keep them from working and they have been raised from birth to be working Senior Royals and Queen Elizabeth ll did use them a lot more than Sophie who got into trouble her and Edward when they had their filming business. It took almost 30 years to see them. Charles is not a good KING! Prince Andrew should be bought back. He is Innocent and Charles knows it and he Charles Frankly despises his Siblings and that includes Anne! He also turned William against his Uncle and I believe that he feels the same as Harry when it comes to Camilla !!!King Charles is a Narcissist in my Opinion!!!!

Lovely channel, yes I agree with you it saddens me that the pomp and ceremony for the Kings Coronation was scaled down so radically in my opinion, no robes, tiaras etc etc.
This does sound unfair but I want to say it personally I thought it was a something and nothing Coronation, maybe a be of a harsh comment but true.
Not many people locally in the village I live in bothered to display flags or even talked about the event, the cost of living crisis and lack of interest was quite profound.
I wish our RF a long safe and happy reign the only point I would make is that King Charles III needs to listen 👂 more to the people of the UK 🇬🇧 and step up to the plate on far more issues that concern us than he currently does!!!!

Mistake not to have worn tiaras.
When you see pictures of years ago ( 30s on), people put an effort to look their best. No longer, most look like they roll out of bed and put on the first thing they put their hands on, and never use a mirror.
He I missed all the proper. Things that was in the late queens corination. E could have had all that but still have cut it down. A bit Yes I say he should have given up the crown to William yes lady c I say the same. People just did not dress. Up properly. I was really a bit disgusted. I would have loved o have seen Catherine and the ladies. In there tiaras what difference would it have made the people would not have minded. That’s what we British want He should get out of the WEF the meme of that is we will own nothing and be happy !!!!!!!
I don't agree with Lady C. I think King Charles' coronation was a reflection of the country at this moment. Ostentation would have antagonised a lot of people!

Scaled back...that shit show was ridiculous considering the economy....they were dress obscenely when you think of people unable to pay for housing food ..
I think Charles and Camilla looked petrified hesitant and depressed. They ignore the aristocracy as most of them are broke and are replaced by rich business types. It looked like a funeral and there was not much glamour at all. Camilla was an excellent Mistress. He missed his big luck with Diana Spencer. Diana was Queen material.
