My dog goes to Yoga with me. He has his own mat. when he is in class he lays on his mat and sleep the whole hour. I have been told he calms the whole class down. he breaths while sleeping they listen for it. t (service dog)
Don’t worry about whether you are making progress or not. Just keep your attention on the Self twenty-four hours a day. Meditation is not something that should be done in a particular position at a particular time. It is an awareness and an attitude that must persist through the day. Annamalai Swami 😍
I know that for years yoga breathing. However with the Advent AB screen starting with cathode ray screens, it's been shown that watching the flickering screen of your cell phone or your TV or even old TVs causes people to hold their breath. So people are holding their breath a lot more and this is interfering with tissue repair and other body maintenance functions. I find that my breathing meditation improves my peripheral neuropathy much better if I do not hold my breath but concentrate on having the out-breath be about twice as long as the in breath. That pattern of breathing has been shown to lower sympathetic nervous system activity the most. I hope you will look into this and give us your opinion. Thank you for the meditation. I meditate with my dog but she's a 13 year old cocker spaniel so she just sits on my lap and melt into it. Although I must say I got her as a rescue dog who had been a puppy mill breeder dog. And she did not know how to relax. Fortunately my meditation practice correlated was what she apparently needed.
Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the world earth revolves - slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future; live the actual moment. Only this moment is life. Thich Nhat Hanh 😃
Love this meditation idea with your dog, but the inhale as you breathe in and exhale as you breathe out..very redundant..then saying inhale "in"..you can't inhale "out" ...see what I'm saying ? Lol sorry for some reason this frustrated me lol

Love this. And so beneficial especially for our often anxious rescue dogs. And your Minnie is beautiful - she looks a lot like my Sue. ❤️
