So great to see Dio younger and healthy. I miss him so very much. Fan from the 70's on. He was so very talented, the whole package and also a really wonderful human being who loved his fans ❤️
What Ronnie doesn’t understand is us fans love him not only for his voice but his lyrics. I prefer songs about melting moons and clouds made of fire instead of computer technology and machines gone haywire
I’m like his Smile♥️it’s beautiful Man🌈My RAINBOW in the Heart🙋🏽♀️Wonderful songs, voice, brings Emotions, Gestures with Metal, Just HAPPY, RONNIE🤘Here it’s no so young, passed 40 years🙌Love 2020 only, for long time💋🤘🙋🏽♀️
I read somewhere DIO really wanted Doug Aldrich at this time in the band who was playing in a Band in LA called Lion. Glad he did play with Doug later on- Doug is such a great guitar player.
I've always loved LOCK UP THE WOLVES. I dont get the negative retrospective I find online, that album has credibility. It's a mix of all Ronnie had done before, sounds like Ritchie, Tony, and Vivian all rapped up in Rowan's skill.
Yeah! LOCK UP THE WOLVES is extremely underrated and overlooked. One of my personal favs and the guitar whiz Rowan Robertson has a new band called CUSTARD PIE play great music
@@clintbronson5 it has one of my fav tracks: "My Eyes" (kinda self-tribute from DIO), "Night Music", "Hey Angel" and "Between Two Hearts", and ofc "Wild One". It's solid album.
Ronnie was one of the biggest singing voices in metal and hard rock he was in two Dio and black Sabbath great bands and heaven and hell was a great song I could not see Ozzy singing it and Ronnie had the pipes as well holly diver is a fantastic Dio song and mystery that is my favorite Dio song rip Ronnie sing your songs from above we forever miss you and up the irons maiden manic⭐⭐🤘🤘🇬🇧🔥🔥🎵🎵👍👍👍🎶🎸🎸
roland robertson? never heard of him. Wow, Craig left the band. I remember that guy on the Pain song. what was his name? He was kind of.... different but still good. Craig was great, Viv was youthful adrenaline unleashed and that Pain guy... he was like... techno-Hendrix-sfx.
Craig has says in several interviews that he will say exactly why he left the band at that time. He has said a few times that Dio wanted him to use newer Marshall's but Craig wanted to use older. Who knows
yeah that makes sense...forced a 17 year old to record an album and then forced the poor kid to tour - against child labor laws. hahahaha - and never paid him a dime right?
Ozzy hires Zakk at 19. Hhhmmm. The parallels between Oz and Sharron and Ronnie and Wendy are striking. I'm a fan. Can look at it from a few different angles. Young men also got the chance of a lifetime to play with established pro's.
Dio is not in Rock n Roll hall of fame...but mumble rappers are..Haugwash!!!
Thats shame rappers doesnt deserve to be introduce
Yeah the rock n roll hall of fame is a joke none of them know shit about music. Ronnie is a God in music
Look at this year's lineup.
god, I miss times when rock music used to be almost mainstream.....

MyGemini48 Great post..could not have said it any better. Miss him too...a gentle spirit with huge talent. What a legend.
He was 48 , funny enough
The man the legend no one touchs him!!
Yea indeed a very genuine human, maybe someday the future can see him hopefully understand £0¥€ Ronnie
R.i.p.❤
No-one comes close to the class act that is Dio .
Greatest rock vocalist EVER.

Deep Purple has their finger prints all over the hard rock world.
Eh...so does Muddy Waters
Just named my cat Ronnie James Dio!
He's incredible, just like his namesake....
#ronniethegentleman
Ronald James Padavona R.í.P 🎤😎👊
Dio forever forever 💪👊👊
a wealth of knowledge and a true metal fans hero.DIO rules 4 EVER
Such a humble man. I was at that very show. It was well worth the drive to TO that day. Simon is an exceptional drummer.
Rowan is a great guitarist, and those songs are pretty great, like Between Two Hearts.
I've always loved LOCK UP THE WOLVES. I dont get the negative retrospective I find online, that album has credibility. It's a mix of all Ronnie had done before, sounds like Ritchie, Tony, and Vivian all rapped up in Rowan's skill.
It's not Dio's best album, but it's surely underrated. Definitely Dio's bluesiest album.
One of the most inspiring people that has ever existed. #DreamersNeverDie
Just saw Wendy's documentary loved every minute of it thx
I didn't know that Ronnie was friends with Coverdale. That'a pretty cool. Two of the best ever!
Pavarotti of heavy metal ...
Rowan is awesome but they almost got Gary Hoey
Evil on Queen Street is on of my all-time favorite Dio songs! I had no ideas it was inspired by a sandwich!

One of the greatest voices ever in rock... it's a shame I never got to see him live. R.I.P Ronnie James Dio & Dan Gallagher.
Great story and loved Lock Up The Wolves
I would go back in time just to see him perform in Toronto where I'm from. RIP RJD
I saw him play that night great show 👍
I saw him with Sabbath in Mapleleaf Gardens for Mob Rules tiur he was amazing as always!
It’s too bad that tour was cut short in the US due to poor attendance/album sales. Dio put on a great show as always.
I miss him too ❤️ such a great loss 🙏
A TRUE DOWN TO EARTH GENTLEMAN ROCK STAR NEED I SAY MORE RIP GREAT INTERVIEW
Look out!
The sky is turning dark .. or is it black ?
RONNIE JAMES DIO the king of rock n roll
Evil on Queen Street is on of my all-time favorite Dio songs! I had no ideas it was inspired by a sandwich!
That's your favorite song????? :)
Wtf
He was adorable. Will always be in love with him. Thankfully he does alot of smiling in this interview...priceless 🙏
Went to TO for that show at the CNE grounds. Was amazing.

Dio was always so interesting to listen to and nice to see him with Dan! Btw whatever happened to Dan?
roland robertson? never heard of him. Wow, Craig left the band. I remember that guy on the Pain song. what was his name? He was kind of.... different but still good. Craig was great, Viv was youthful adrenaline unleashed and that Pain guy... he was like... techno-Hendrix-sfx.
Tracy Grijalva or Tracy G.
Not sure why he thought he and Craig didn't write well together, "Dream Evil" was a great album!
They eventually went back together again at that time supposedly the rest of the band or some members didn’t quite like Craig for unspecific reasons
@@darthlalus Yea? Well there was no one else left from that band on the next lp anyway.
Craig has says in several interviews that he will say exactly why he left the band at that time. He has said a few times that Dio wanted him to use newer Marshall's but Craig wanted to use older. Who knows
Tony Martin is way better
Great interview, man!
And the MUCH MUSIC HOST has also passed away.. They had a great Game Show with DAN 😎🤘
Test Pattern...was funny.
"no farm animals. we'll leave that to andrew dice clay"
i love how he snuck that in real sly
Who is the guy that was interviewing Ronnie
he looks a little bit like the late great john candy up the irons maiden manic🎸🎶🎶👍🎵🎵🔥🔥🇬🇧🇬🇧🤘🤘⭐⭐
Dan Gallagher - he passed away in 2001. He was respected and a true lover of music.
Yeah he got a 17 old because he didn't have to pay him
yeah that makes sense...forced a 17 year old to record an album and then forced the poor kid to tour - against child labor laws. hahahaha - and never paid him a dime right?
@@lambchops71 yeah well look up how he and Wendy screwed Vivian Campbell

If I were a 17 year old guitar player and I got the chance to play for one of the biggest metal bands in the world, I’d gladly do that for free
