I'm living through a pandemic 2020 one year and Elvis lived his whole life like that so I feel for the man

Well not exactly the same. Elvis had people taking care of anything he might want or need, and his private plane waiting to take him anywhere he might want to go. He could have gone out more if he wasn't dressed "as Elvis" and when one of the guys pointed that out, he said, But if someone should recognize me they'd be so disappointed that I don't look like Elvis! It was partly his choice rather than absolute necessity.

      @@katgirlblue that’s hilarious. Where’s your source? I bet that’s a good interview

@@ns7353 It's in one of the books by Peter Guralnick, not sure if it's the Last Train to Memphis or the second one, probably the second, because the first ends with the army. I have read it in more than one though, probably if you watch All the King's Men the MM talk about it, but I don't remember which episode - there are five. They're all on UA-cam. I definitely remember the guys talking about it.
They also said sometimes he would put on an old hat and go out in an old panel truck he had at Graceland and no one would even look, but Elvis didn't like that. He even said in an interview, when asked what would happen if there were no more screaming fans wherever he goes, and he said: "I would miss it." He didn't do that many interviews, if you watch them all you'll find it.

Our family took a road trip in August 1982 to see the King’s Graceland and it looked just like this.I was only 12 but became an instant fan after learning more about the man behind the image..I also had the pleasure of meeting Jerry Schilling in the former Hilton Showroom a couple years ago when EPE had the Elvis Museum there and he was so cool to talk to..He let my wife take a couple pictures of me and him and was telling me cool stories of him and Elvis and was just a true gentleman.

Wow loved this and I like it how it's footage of graceland only 3.5years after Elvis died it's not as well organized with all of elvises things as it is in 2020 I still havnt been to graceland yet unfortunately one day I've seen a lot of footage though how it has changed so very much since this footage was done unbelievable I wish they would have left it exactly the way Elvis left it without all the add ins it has in 2020 I no Elvis Presley enterprises have done a fantastic job in what they have done but it's not same as it was back in the day and I would say a lot of die hard Elvis fans would agree with me

@@johnny2thumbs247 Thank you, I just read your response, I only have the pleasure of watching the videos because I am French and I will not go to Graceland; many say that it is more and more commercial, I would like many to go into the rooms where he was, to believe that we can breathe the same air that he breathed even if it is false.

Wtf does that mean?? Joe said a couple sentences what was he lying about? Being that you were close, personal friends with Elvis. We all heard and read about Paul Ochoa and how Elvis told him his deepest, darkest secrets that no one else knew! 🙄🙄 Can't stand clueless people who don't know anything, talking shit and calling others liars!

They mentioned he would sometimes play racquet ball alone when he couldn’t sleep. I read somewhere Elvis was afraid of dying in his sleep, at night, in the dark and that is why
he slept during the day. I also heard it was to go out at night and avoid crowds, but that would only cover the few times they did that.

Elvis "slept" with a lot of women. In that he didn't have sex with them. He invited them to sleep next to him because it helped him calm down and sleep. Many women tells stories about how he took them up to his room and just read them stuff from the bible or metaphysical books and then they fell asleep.
