Op here come the comments on this one... I use TENACITY to kill bent grass around the greens 😂 I hope I don't get my ass drilled for using TENACITY like I did using glyphosate 😂🤙🏾
You don’t need round up lol you should just rent a manual sod cutter. Definitely get sand, and mix it into soil. Add sand on that, and buy sod. Don’t grow in unless you’re home all day to water seeds. Roll it, fertilize it, water the piss out of it, add more sand. Cut it high, then lower slowly. Take it from a superintendent, don’t do it
I need someone with a youtuber with smallish lawn to just do a full bent grass yard and maintain it at like fairway height for a full season to see how feasible it is lol. I love my bentgrass plot but it's only like 300 sq ft and it's tedious
This greens is about 500sqft... it would be really expensive to maintain if my entire front 1500sqft was bent grass 😂 I'm not saying no.... just not yet 😂🤙🏾
I just look for patches of northern bent grass and then I just start cutting it shorter and shorter... looks good, but I need sand and a roller probably...Keeping the crabgrass out is the hardest part.
It's unbelievable people like you have been brainwashed to be scared of everything. Glyphosate is the safest most commonly used herbicide in the world. Yes we probably use to much of it but it's completely safe to use. Just because a Woke California jury awarded damages to people who claimed they got cancer from it ,means nothing in the real world. We have been using thousands of gallons a year for the past 25 years as well as all my neighbors who do the same. No reports of cancer from glyphosate in my area. But you go ahead and believe that groundskeeper who spilled some on him out of his 10 gallon backpack sprayer.😂. It's embarrassing how the media has destroyed our common sense.
No chance you’re bringing St Aug/Buffalo down to 3mm it just isn’t possible. 1/2inch maybe or 3/4inch, even that takes a year or two to get down to it and train it. St Aug is an ornamental lawn that thrives 4” and higher and looks best at that height. Shouldn’t really be cutting it low and treating it like a putting green. May aswell strip it and get couch/Bermuda.
If you were thoughtful and not lazy you’d remove the grass by hand. Glyphosate should only be used in small quantities for invasive plant pests and even then you need to first think if it’s worth it to potentially poison everything down stream. But for real you could’ve rented a sod cutter or if you couldn’t afford that a transplanting shovel works very well on your hands and knees. I just really am horrified about your relaxed and in my opinion careless use of a deadly compound. You’re potentially robbing whole wild animals and definitely plants, birds, bees, insects, beneficial fungi and bacteria of their lives. You do you but there are much safer and beneficial ways to get a damn putting green in ur backyard
In other words it’s a complete pain in the a$$ and you’ve got to be 100% committed.
Whole yard will be bentgrass before you know it! Cool project, hoping to build one this summer

Fuck that I’ll just drive five mins to my local range 😂😂😂
What brand of reel push mower is this? looks awesome!!
I was waiting for LaSteroid to appear 😂

If I ever win the lottery, I'm building my own golf course and driving rage. Wish me luck!!!

Watch @lawntips, his bent grass putting green is massive.
Jesus loves you

Can't wait to see your grass in spring and summer 🤘🤘
It's gonna be epic! Thanks for the support always ☺️🤙🏾
@@YardBrah yes sir
@@YardBrahI still have snow so what can I do my summer is max 3 months.
Good 👍
Port dover in ontario canada has a hotel frontage with this Putting green , looks nice
The most important part is buying a roller and greens mower. The technique in growing grass isnt difficult. Go artifical much cheaper
Verticutting is definitely not mandatory, looks good though
Where’d you get the reel push mower self propelled
Do I need a reel mower to get these results
💯 need a reel mower!
"Spread it evenly by hand. Then rake it in."
What did you do that for?
Looks amazing.
What greens mower are you using?
I recommend a trip to Home Depot and buying “putting green”.
Trust the process my guy 🌱👍
Telling ppl to use glyphosate is wild
Telling people to drink soda is wild too 😂🤙🏾
@@YardBrah not understanding the difference between levels of harm is even more wild.

Roundup is wild??🤷♂️
Yeah, soda vs the potential carcinogen, great comparison 😂😂
What is that mower????
What reel mower were you using?
My suegro got his growing in 3 weeks… it’s wild
🔥 my man! Simply 🔥!
👊🏾 you the man bro 😎🤙🏾
*sigh* Time to turn my back yard into a golf course 😔
thats nuts
What software did you use for the voice over?
What aerator is that?!
roll-aerator.com Amick roll aerator based out of California call Mike he invented it ☺️🤙🏾
You say week two drop down to watering twice a week (i think you mean twice a day)
Isn’t the point of sand to keep the sun from burning and killing the roots of the scalped grass? Somone correct me
Miss the glypho 👌🏻 😊
Yeah, I’m probably going to just drive the 4 minutes it takes me to get to the golf course and just use their greens.
ya really got to love to putt a ball to go through that much work,..damn,thats overkill
I put glyphosate in my bath water.
Song name?
Sometimes I get my st Augustine down like that. Sometimes. 💪🏼
Dang a short St Aug lawn 😳 That's a flex 😂🤙🏾

@@antonyv8171 If I was in warm season grass I would 100% have Bermuda everywhere 😂🤙🏾
Never
Never
Id actually like a pony at home
Isnt glyphosate a carcinogen?
I’ll go to the range, thx.
*every single day
Hey it is rad…right until a friend sees it and wants you to build one for them. 😅
You can seed immediately after you apply glyphosate so long as its only glyphosate
Ok just turf for me
Meanwhile moles in my backyard be playing hoops :(
Litterally the most expensive grass to take care of. Just buy a slice of astro turf
Glyphocate is bad
Very bad I should have used vinegar instead 🤙🏾
@@YardBrahheard patis works really well too bro🤣🤣🤣
Vinegar isn't killing grass to the root
I shivered when I heard him say Glyphosate.
Maybe don’t drink it and don’t douse yourself in it??????
That shits band where im from
You said roundup wrong....
Who said I used roundup? I used Killzall
Why not just install artificial turf?
Gliphosate is turning the frogs gay
verticut 1 a month no wonder why it took you 3 for that small of a patch
7 days after glypho? More like 3 weeks, no?
This is why it pisses me off when people vandalize greens…
Link to tools used? specifically that aerator.
Never ever ever use glyphosate
cause someones gunna do that 😂
That’s dope but if you got kids or dogs they definitely destroying the green
Here is a question for you….
Why ???
Why not
You should've just made that entire area a putting green instead of leaving that zesty little patch......
Dang, bro doesn’t have a backyard anymore😂
Just buy turf at that point
geez
What a waste of gas
Yeah the vintage Cali has a Honda and the Swardman has a Kawasaki.... they sip gas 😂🤙🏾
Maybe buy an electric mower then charge it from the power grid that's powered by oil and gas 🤷. I swear we are getting dumber by the day.
Pour cement pad and apply Astro turf
You sound like ice T
Glyphosate gave me terminal cancer! Find an alternative people
Should have been called, "This is why you probably will not be making a putting green at home."
Skip the glypho
Do not mess with glyphosate people.
Why grow food and feed yourself for life when you can build a very very useful putting green. 😂😂😂
Try turf/fake grass
If you want to be an unpaid laborer 😂
Well everyone watching this just paid this project off 3X 😂🤙🏾
How about we not use RoundUp
I didn't I used Killzall 😂🤙🏾
Or save 6 months and have artificial turf installed 🤷♂️
Stolens!
Sylvester Stolons my dude 😂🤙🏾
You’re going to spend thousands on this lol
ever heard of fake grass turf?
I'm allergic 😂💀🤙🏾
@@YardBrahhighly doubt that
Not the same.
Bro your comments back are the best part of the comment section
No this is plain stupid but then again my hobbies are building drones and anime. Touche. Mow on!
Glycophosphate? If you like cancer
That glyphosate and silica goes straight back into your own water supply. Hope you buy bottled 🤡
*only small problem: in most counties it’s illegal to water every day.*
You lost me at cancer/roundup
What a sad existence. Wasting all that water and time for something that doesn’t help or feed anyone or anything
That's too much. I rather grow food.
And then wait 12 years, and start tour cancer treatment. Don't worry about your dog, they're gone already... Enjoy your putting.!!
Boooooo
F that
Glyphocate, wow pathetic

This is terrible advice to 99.99% of ppl (horticulture graduate/professional). Please don’t sand your lawn or use glyphosate on it.
