Haha! Quite so! Which is why it is utterly tragic that we do not have either audio or video of him singing despite these technologies being available during his time. There has, however, recently appeared an audio supposedly belonging to him. Should be Googleable/UA-camable.
@@FarhanAmin1994 that's true with Manjhi Khan also - Bade khan saab was reluctant though to record material as his voice was lost due to excessive riyaz and recitals. Two great tragedies in the history of Hindustani classical vocal music we don't have any any recording of Sangeet Samrat Ustad Alladiya khan and the prematured death of Pandit DV Paluskar 😔
Yeah, I think I heard one recording on Parrikar's website (under the rubric "Nibbles") which came to him via an A N Sharma apparently. One didn't hear much there. Then there was a purported thumri of his on UA-cam, where one could hear a lot of taans-not the usual thumri fare one is used to. All in all, can't say if it is he. Quite the mystery, like a Holy Grail of sorts.
