I looked long and hard at buying one of these here in Australia recently. Scared off by the cost of replacement suspension struts. Love the idea of that Yamaha V8 and AWD though! A real sleeper.
Hey, why don't you just look at the ones without the crazily-expensive Four-C suspension. If you get an S80 V8 with regular suspension, everything is perfectly normal. This is in my opinion not an expensive car in maintenance. It proves to be very reliable. Mine costed me 100 USD/100 Euro in breakdowns over almost 5 years of driving it (it had low mileage though). Only lumbar support in driver's seat broke once and that's it - costed 100 USD at a Volvo dealership.
V-Told can you comment on the exhaust setup? Is it true dual with two separate pipes from the front to back, or does it still have the original middle single pipe?
You are definitely hearing right but the conclusion about a manual gearbox isn’t exactly correct. There was only a 6-speed automatic gearbox. What you may be hearing is a manual mode of it.

I find the car reliable in my opinion but what is reliable for me and what is for you, huh? :) Since January 2014 I put approx. 9500 pln (2200 euro) in maintenance including a set of 4 new tyres (Dunlop/Continental) for 2500 pln (600 euro). Failures? Lumbar support in driver's seat - the metal wire broke and had to be replaced. Also, there were some issues with front brake discs. And I'm not sure if since I bought the car, the transmission is working 100% properly. I guess it is but it can act violently sometimes. Is lpg conversion possible? It's always possible nowadays.
Z tego co ja słyszałem i doświadczyłem, to silnik jest niezniszczalny. Skrzynia to pewnie co innego, bo pracuje na granicy swoich możliwości i jeszcze jest konwerter, bo silnik umiejscowiony poprzecznie. Tu z kolei historia jest dokładnie taka sama jak w T6 i innych S80.
2 miechy na 2 miechy pracuje. miałem bmke 330i teraz audi a6 4.2, ale nei jestem aż takim fanem motoryzacji. koledzy ze statku mają lepsze samochody, ja bardziej w chałupke ładuje

2010 Model, I believe has 'normal' Shocks.... I've got the 2009 V8..love driving it 👌

Jak z awaryjnością tego silnika ? Podobno kapryśna konstrukcja, ja na T6 się zdecydowałem, a dopiero teraz trafiłem na filmik, to zapytać warto.

It was a local garage that builds custom exhaust systems for cars and motorcycles.

teraz jest problem, offshory w ogóle zamarły. zarobki fajne 3ci koło 20 tys zł/miesiąc, kapitan na moim statku 50tys $/miesięcznie
