    a tip for moms with little ones. Keep a stack of 3x4 journaling cards at your desk, kitchen drawer, or someplace that you can easily reach them. Every morning, write down the cute things they say (add the date, too)! I did this and only wish I did it more! I slipped the cards in pocket protectors and they've become some of my dearest treasures from they're babyhood. I'm so glad that I did it.

    One very helpful suggestion is to organize your collection from the beginning. It is overwhelming if you wait till you have a huge collection.

    One tip for mom of littles…I made one album for birthdays. So kid 1 has their scrapbook of one 2-page layout for each birthday, kid 2 has their own. Do the same for school year, one or two 2-page spreads for each year. And for Christmas, I did 1 album with a 2-page spread for each year. Pick the theme that means the most to you and keep it simple. As the kids get older, the more you can do.

    I so agree with you on writing about whatever you want in a daily journal. I basically write about what’s on my mind the most or at that time 😊

      Yes! You can honestly write about anything you want it doesn’t have to be deep. It’s really whatever you want to remember.

    Thank you for taking the time to do this video, Heba! I really enjoyed it. I have a tip for locating stamps and/or other supplies. I use the free version of Evernote and it is fantastic for being able to find where my stamps (and dies, stickers, etc.) are. It is time-consuming to get started if you have a large stash, but so worth it. I keep Evernote open on my computer and can easily search for a keyword/tag when I'm crafting. With the free version, you are limited to how many photos you can add at a time and I believe the resolution is also a factor, but I just resize everything at a small res since that's all I need. I wish I could post a picture here as I really swear by this system. Hope that helps someone! 😄

      Oh I’ve heard about Evernote a lot from other stampers. I might give it a try and see if it’s something that works for me. Thank you so much for sharing dear ♥️

    I do have a question. When you journal on the clear sticker paper, do you use a new sheet every time. I am not sure how you would run the sticker sheet through your printer once you have cut out a section to use on your project.

    • @MyLittleJournal
      @MyLittleJournal  Рік тому

      Thank you Kara 🥰 I usually keep the scraps and stick them on a full sheet printer paper then run it in my printer. I hope that makes sense

    This was awesome and inspiring! Thank you for sharing. I’ve really found your approach encouraging as far as leaning into creativity more than having to think so much about a layout, etc. also, the part about journaling daily and not feeling stuck to just one area to do it in❤

    I love your approach to creativity and how you work it into your life, but don’t allow it to become your life. I think I’m IN, then I burn OUT, so I appreciate you sharing your perspective. So glad that tip worked for you and you’re using your Stamp Market inks now! Their colors are just so gorgeous.

      I totally get it. I think we burn ourselves out because we want to do all the things all at once but reminding ourselves that it’s a hobby helps keeps us crafting and enjoying it in the process.

    Hi, Heba!! Thank you for addressing the question about printing Scrappy Layout on 8.5 x 11'' printer paper. I recently purchased a printer that is supposed to be economical with ink, an Epson Eco Tank, ET2850... I am with you on the Canon Selphy printer paper being too thick for multiple layouts over time... I am grateful for your recommendation for the thinner Epson printer paper, and I figured out how to print photos for a scrappy layout on one sheet! I am new to printing photos, and hope I don't regret not getting the Picture Mate! I'm not sure how much I'm losing out on quality for the Epson Eco Tank compared to the Picture Mate... ANYWAYS!! It's a journey and process, and I'm grateful for all that you offer for inspiration and tips; I love your content and layouts. Thank you!

    • @MyLittleJournal

      I’m so sorry dear for the late reply. I don’t know how I missed your comment 🤦🏻‍♀️ I am not familiar with the eco tank but I heard good things about it and even considered buying one. I think you really can’t go wrong with any Epson printers and you can still use the same paper I suggested with your printer. I hope that helps 🥰🍑

      @AritaGraham Рік тому

      @@MyLittleJournal all good on the late reply, and thank you now! I want to share that I learned from (Keith Cooper's reviews) that setting the printing setting to "matte" offers a better quality print rather than using the "glossy" print paper setting (even though I'm using the Epson 'gloss' paper you recommend! I noticed a better quality with this

    Loved all your answers! Thanks for taking the time to do a video like this. I am interested in how you remember to take pictures! LOL Dumb question but I have been wanting to fill up my spiral scrappy notebook but am constantly forgetting to take pics. I had a delicious dessert the other day and I ate it before taking a pic and wanted to kick myself because it would of been a great thing to put in my TN or my SSN . Any picture taking tips would be appreciated!

    Loved this video so much, Heba! I enjoyed every minute, so interesting and full of inspiration! I'm a mom, an artist and also a student and my kids are now 9 and 5, both very active :) I don't have time to craft like I used to, when I was single and without kids. But I love to journal , so I journal inside a "notebook" in Evernote. I divide the notebooks by years. I write everyday and then on Fridays and Saturdays, I craft inside Project Life albums and inside Traveler's Notebooks, where I add photos and embellishment later on. But I do keep it simple, like you suggested. by journaling inside Evernote (I use if from the computer but I know they have an app), it is easier to catch up or stay up to date with my journaling. Another thing for me is editing pictures. I edit the photos everyday. Just a bit everyday. And then, when the weekend comes, I print the pictures and then scrapbook for a few hours and just fill in the blanks. Like you say- When you do it everyday (even if it's only for 5 minutes) it becomes who you are, a part of what you do. Thank you again for your endless inspiration and amazing videos. I love them so much and always feel amazed by your endless creativity! Thank you for all the wonderful tips you've been given us throughout the years, your channel is one of my favorites :)

    How do you decide what size to print your photos mainly for pocket scrapbooking? I want all different sizes photos on my pages to make it interesting but I struggle with the process of getting started. Do you lay blank pages out and start planning there looking through your phone n printing or some other way? Hope this makes sense. Lol T.I.A. Love watching your videos. ❤️

      Hi dear, I do have a class on how I set up my PL layout. I am totally the opposite I like to use the same size photos every week. It makes the process the next time I work in my project easier because I’m basically on repeat. Once you change the format it make the process harder and longer.
