Shogun S armor will give artisan which gives sharpness+1 thats why I prefer it over soul u it also has a small amount of more base armor (about 3 more each piece I think) and I prefer sharpness over expertise and its also nice to make the attack bounus it gives to medium level which gives a good boot of around 200 if you eat the right meals.
Ha, i can't wait to get to this. I'm getting the best stuff i can before i take him on. Your vids have shown me a good tactic to beating him, but i'm no longer a fan of greatswords so.. :P I'll try with the GS first but i dunno how that's gonna go.
Also, you say he left himself open whilst charging. If you watch his other videos you see that he shows when to charge, so you have ample time to do it without getting hit. The key to his abilities as a GS user is that he DOESN'T leave himself open, at least not to the monster he is fighting.
ye, GLs also make him easy, just poke and block the scream, and dodge to avoid the ground lightning, then shell him or wyverns fire when he does the shock shield thing
tigrex has 1 hit follow-up berserk at 50% of its health and once more at 15% of its health. However, the beast takes double damage if you hit it whilst it is still in berserk mode. (You must use a flash bomb at this point).
whene they are puased for like 5 seconds should i put that towards a charge to the head or try to cut the tail. i think cutting one of their tails would be a ood i dea so i wouldnt lossse track of which one im tryging to kill first.

its not a glitch, its like that at urgents, the one that starts the urgent quests clears it, the other one not.. so ur friend has to start the urgent once too so he can get up too NOTE: if he wants to rank, he has to take the quest
ok very last question IVE BEEN cutting off the rathlos tails and all i get is shells any thought (and yes i cap him) so how can i get tails another way
do you think this qwest could be done with titernia or carbalite+ and should i use evade plus 2 with 360 defence obituary s autotracker earplugs 340d full tigrex or almost 400 defence guard+2 full hermituar s
He's not HR5. He was showing the mission as a guide to players doing it. He is very good, he made a few mistakes but your advice isn't AS relevant as it could be because he was very efficient in his killing. He DID survive so i don't know about that end bit however i agree partly about how his defence but most hits were just silly mistakes, everyone makes them. Finally, considering you haven't played yet, i doubt you can give too solid advice, the final charge is most efficient.
hi there. every time i try this quest i keep dying. my most powerful armour is nargacuga with psychic jewel/ autotracker. i use true devel slicer admidst flash bombs, pitfall and shock traps. what would be the better weapon to use against tigrex? Raw, or either of its thunder or dragon weaknesses on as an attribute? what would some body reccomend i change or add?
i cant do the old woman urgent quest with 1 of them i have the khazu grat sword and i still can do it has 624 attack and 220 thndr attrib and i still can beat it all i can do is cut the tail then it kills me plz give me advice
yeah i know that trick but i get really annoyed with the attack range of my gs its so short and unprecise each time i charge i either swing in the air and get pwned or slump his wings
Yep, you're really good though, it WAS unavoidable, but still painful though. For your guy I mean. The skills for Gizami armor are still pretty good, I believe that quick sharpen and extended sharpness slightly make up for no High Grade Earplug=P
@KYkero265 no killing it is much more effective cuz it give you like a 49% of getting the ruby rahter than just capturing it you'll just hope to get it

When Tigrex goes in to rage mode and he starts moving VERY fast (he'll glow red slightly on his claws and arms) what is a good way to kill him? the tactic to normally kill him doesnt seem to really work when he's in rage mode. the only thing i can really do is attack once or twice, and then stay in another zone till he cools off where i can do it agian. havent killed him this way yet (i have my psp on pause now)

I hated this quest until I discovered the wondrous armor combination that gave me sharpness +1 and reckless abandon +2 to compliment my nargacuga GS (The only purple sharpness weapons before G-rank, if I recall correctly)

I was lucky, and tried to keep them apart as bet as I could, although I ended up fighting them both at the same time once or twice. I'm just really good at guarding. Also, I had the downloaded mission for Gold Rathian and Silver Rathalos, but also my friend had taken me hunting Silver Rathalos' before hand.
I have 3 for this battle: -LS True Devil Slicer, but I find I'm taking damage too often and can't hit with enough power to solo both of them -GS Khezu Shock Blade, but I still need to craft it and its thunder isn't as high as one other... -GS King Thundersword, Kirin's weapon apparently isn't as raw, but it is significantly more elementally powerful (I'd need to kill Kirin a few more times too) Which one? Does drugged meat work and how can you separate them when they're grouped (beyond waiting)?

There, you get stuff with "hard, and plus," like kut-ku scale+, rathalos carpace, and other stuff, instead of wyvern tears, there's wyvern sobs, which gives 2,500 points! high for a beginner but pretty little for hi level hunters...
In mhf the dual monsters have exactly 1/3 there normal health maybe they changed it in MHF2 I dont think they did because it seems they go down quicker then normal. also training school monsters in the first one had even less then 1/3 but now they seem much higher in mhf2
Damn +3 reckless abandon...he's packing extra expert jewels then and this isn't the first time he's played this quest. I believe it's impossible to make the +5 expert jewel without materials from after this quest (Fire Dragon Powder). I'm stuck with +1 Reckless Abandon :/ (same armor)

the easiest way would be to start with valkyrie blade then u[grade it to spartacus, then siegmund. it needs a rathalos ruby and a monoblos heart.

I love your strategy.. but i suck at anything that slows movement speed while unsheathed. So i'm trying to use a long sword.. =D

That is a Siegmund. 1056 attack +15% affinity blue sharpness GS. VERY hard to get. requires plate and monoblos heart.

Rathalos rubie, from hr 4+ i think monoblos heart is easy to get, you can get it fighting the village chief monobloses
mhp2 + eng patch IS better than mhf2 in terms of weapon/armour choices right?

Cause you were supposed to upgrade the Valkyrie sword into the spartacus, and that sword upgrades into the siegmund.

combine small barrelbomb with vespoid wing for bounce bomb, bounce bomb with bombarrowana is bounce bomb+.
how do you get rathalos ruby in Hr5 ??? I' ve killed like 16 high rank rath and i still don't have it. Is capturing more effective?
