Hi James, “Tell What You See” has been playing in my head all day. That’s how I ended up at your site today. I totally agree with you: it’s a great song! It’s one of those Lennon & McCartney songs that gets overshadowed by their mega hit songs on an album. Beatles’ fans, of course, know about these hidden gems. What I find really interesting is when younger people today enthusiastically discover The Beatles. Hearing them talk about, react to, and appreciate The Beatles and their music is somewhat similar to those of us who originally heard them. way back when. Other often overshadowed songs that I would add to such a list are: “Any Time at All”, “Slow Down”, “Anna”, “Bad Boy”, “Little Child”, “Things We Said Today”, “I’m Looking Through You” for starters. “Hey Bulldog”, at one time was on this list, as was “Helter Skelter”. Anyways, another great lesson on one of my obscure favourites. Thank you “Thank You Girl” could go on that list too!
Thanks for the video. I think the first side of Help! is my favourite half of any of their albums. However, the second side for me are weakened by this song and You Like Me Too Much. If they had continued to work on and substituted That Means A Lot and If You Got Trouble, and possibly switched Dizzy Miss Lizzy for I’m Down, it would have been the perfect album for my taste and my clear favourite. Oh well.

Incredible what the Beatles could do with such simple open chords, always loved this one too!

I'll always have a soft spot for Flutie.
