realizing thrifted things have holes after you already got home is such a relatable struggle lol. If you're up for a lil DIY, I feel like chenile wouldn't be too hard to embroider to patch up those holes? I think like some tiny flowers could be so cute on that red sweater :^)
Merino wool is a kind of wool renowned for being not itchy but more affordable than cachemire, so good score! I think the puffer can be stuffed into that pocket and put into a suitcase, that's probably why the owner forgot a phone charger in it 😂
I recently thrifted a merino wool sweater and it's so soft and cozy! Definitely a great find
Hi :) the red coat looks like a 60s swing coat style and often those have wider cropped sleeves to show off long gloves. If you found some longer black leather gloves, that would match the collar and probably look really cool and retro!
The 3/4 sleeve is not a mistake on the Sabrina coat. Especially in the 50's and 60's it was a thing.
I love the shorter sleeves. I have a few older jackets and shrugs with shorter sleeves like that. It was definitely a thing.

As someone who has worked retail, things that are out of season,damaged, or been in the store too long gets donated to goodwill! So that’s probably why there is some clothes with censors on them still :)
Stained clothes would still be good for painting, yard work, basically messy activities. Especially at those prices.

Perfect homemade stain remover. Better than any store bought. 2 cups hydrogen peroxide+1 cup blue Dawn. (The one with the duck on the label. It has to be the blue Dawn.) Put in spray bottle. I've even used it on vintage table linens. GREAT stuff.
I'm pretty sure the big pocket on the white puffer is for storing the puffer in it while traveling or so. I love all your purchases and have been looking for an argile sweater vest for sooo long, so I'm a little jealous of that one!😄
I think the coat's sleeves are supposed to be that short. Back in the day women used to wear long gloves with coats like that. At least that's what my mum told me hehe :)
I have that same packable jacket in brown! The brand is actually old navy and the big pocket in the back is to be able to pack the jacket in there! aka packable jacket :)
The pocket on the puffer jacket is to fold the jacket up into itself that’s why it’s called packable !!
You could probably tie ribbons or something on the sweater to cover the holes ! Maybe matching red ones
I love chenille sweaters. they go in and out of style, but I pick them up when I find them. They are very light weight, warm, and never itchy!
The red coat is made with sleeves like that they are 3/4 sleeves they are way before your time but very trendy in it day it is vintage love it wear it anyway 🧥

p.s. I think the red jacket was made to have shorter sleeves, maybe to show gloves, bracelets, or fancy watches.
Yes that 3/4 sleeve was a popular style in the 1950s and 1960s, especially for evening and suits.. It looks vintage.

I bought a chenille sweater dress a few years ago for 80€ it’s kinda the same amount in dollars. After the first wash it got a hole in the back. I was so angry. But chenille sweaters tend to get holes easily in the wash. My mum and my sister had the same problem. So after we found out we always put chenille sweaters in an extra washing bag ( idk the American term for that😅 it’s just a bag you put clothes in for protection during the wash)
We call them lingerie bags. I have about 20 of them and wash everything in them!

a lot of vintage coats have short arms like that. That's because you are supposed to wear it with long, glamorous gloves.
I was thinking this too but the way the liner is longer than the exterior in the back of the jacket makes me think it was also shrunken on top of having shorter sleeves

Boxer shorts are always in style! In the 90s &y2k people of color wore them all the time and layered them under baggy jeans. Both men and women. So glad to see the trend coming back. It was seen as ghetto back in the day tho 😂

Comin in here from Chicago! I love that Argyle sweater vest so much! Merino is the besttt. I recently discovered the wool category can vary via animal too, and I also have the itchy wool feeling except for merino! Its the softest and most breathable imo! I always seek out smart wool and other merinos for half the year haha 😅

What great finds! The sleeves on the red coat are probably hemmed at bracelet length, if it’s from the 50s or 60s that was very common.
Have you ever tried to remove stains with colour remover? The kind that comes in a box like the dyes you can find in art supplies stores and some big grocery and drug stores
