Solo travel experience -
A lot of people ask me, was I scared to travel solo? Trust me, I was a little. But i also know that I take good care of myself. It’s NO BIG DEAL. Literally, anyone who knows to read and understands basic English or the local language with decent money to have shelter and food can travel SOLO. Wish someone told me this earlier. Once you set out on the trip, you will realise other important aspects of travelling solo. So please take the FIRST STEP. Taking care of yourself, your belongings and ensuring you reach your destination during daytime especially if you are a female traveller. The locals are helpful and you should reach out for help whenever required.
Quit my job at Goldman Sachs on 19th March, 2021 and left for solo backpacking trip for a month around north of India. It was my first time visiting Delhi, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Bir, Dalhousie, Manali and around Himachal. I met so many new people, different personalities and went on so many hikes and witnessed beautiful landscapes. All i feel is GRATEFUL!
