Before Michael Clarke Duncan died, I wish they brought him back as the Kingpin and have him appear in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy and The Punisher with Thomas Jane. After all, the Kingpin has been an enemy of Spider-Man since appearing in The Amazing Spider-Man #50 before becoming the archenemy of Daredevil and a recurring enemy of the Punisher.
Totally rancid milk take. The film had only one weak point and that was the shoehorned romance with Elektra. It was supposed to be a Daredevil only movie. But Hollywood wouldn't greenlight it without a romantic angle (Since that was the formula at the time and they were chasing those Spider-Man dollars.) TBH if you cut Elektra out of the movie, you have one of the better Superhero flicks of all time especially with the director's cut. And I like Jennifer Garner, just saying her role in the movie is a tack-on at best.
Good to know that there is more Michael's influenced kingpin other than Old Man Logan. I thought black Kingpin is only in the film and Old Man Logan (2009) comic series.
I saw daredavil last year, and I just recently watched the green mile on recommendation of my parents. I really, really liked this guy. Not only did he play fantastic, but that smile he got is so great it really brightness my day. I just wikipedia'd him for fun and then I discovered he passed away already. I was kinda shocked, and see it as a great loss for humanity. Rest in peace, Michael Clarke Duncan
Greatest and most badass performance of a villan on screen ever! Thank you forever Hollywood Big Mike! You will be deeply missed! R.I.P. December. 10th 1957 - September 3rd 2012
Michael Clarke Duncan totally got the character he was playing. I wish they’d cast him for the same role in the Raimi Spider-Man movies rather than this
RIP Kingpin. As much as I love Vincent D'Onofrio's take on the Kingpin (and it is absolutely spectacular), Duncan really made this role his own. As a kid, watching him face Daredevil was amazing to me. He will always be missed, and he left us too early.
Personality, voice and charisma. Plus I think of him as voicing DC Darkseide. Plus he was born to play Kingpin. Atlas from god of war. He had the voice of a King
You know, I was so used to Kingpin being white... but after watching this when it came out, he's the ONLY one who could bring him justice... and he's the only reason I bought the movie! RIP Michael Clarke Duncan.
Yeah. Similarly, Mr. Smithers from The Simpsons was black, but they changed him to white since having a black man serve a wealthy white man (Mr. Burns) was a bad look.
it would have been great though is roscoe lee browne played the role if he was alive still and younger, for those that dont know who he is, he was black and he did the voice of kingpin in the spiderman animated series
After what the M-SHE-U did to Private Pyle, I'm positive to say that MCD was the perfect Kingpin. And him actually knowing about Kingpin comic book facts makes me appreciate his performance more. Rest In Power Michael Clarke Duncan.
He was good for the acting part.. But maaan they should've had someone else, plus the theater version of daredevil is awful.. Director cut I'd waaaaay better... Could've been awesome, but it's decent.. They need to reboot this.. Have Chris Nolan do this, add that TDKR feel to it
When I first saw this guy doing the kingpin, no offence but I was very used to kingpin being white. After some moments, I started thinking rhat no one else could have done him better
"I was raised in the Bronx, Wesley. This is something you wouldn't understand."
Bruh, this Kingpin was awesome.
R.i.P Micale Clarke Duncan. You put your heart and soul into the Kingpin.
He was the best part of the movie
***** I think he had a heart attack .
Rest in power, Big Mike. You were a king! 😭😭😭
Yes may he Rest In Peace

Monster Master Gojira all of this should've been Spider-Man 3 smh
ecurb _ the Kingpin would've been a better choice of villain in Spider-Man 3 than Venom.
That would've been dope!
All of the early 2000s marvel movies are in the same universe I think
@@ccl7983 Thats headcanon
Dude killed in this role! He was the only bearable part of the film, would have been awesome to see him in the TV show. RIP Michael Clarke Duncan.
There is a director’s cut.
Bullseye is also great in this movie

Ben was good as daredevil.
Bullseye was pretty entertaining too.
Criminally underrated actor, he killed this role, just about the only good part in this film. Rest in piece
to this great man.
Amazing actor. He was an awesome example of someone who came out nowhere and still remembered where he came from. We love and miss you,Mr.Duncan! RIP!
Does anyone else remember that he reprised his role as the Kingpin in an episode of "Spider-Man: The New Animated Series".
I do

*Spider-Man

Thiago Albornoz he’s literally the gentlest giant
Michael Clarke Duncan always was the Boss and him playing Kingpin just proved it
RIP Kingpin. As much as I love Vincent D'Onofrio's take on the Kingpin (and it is absolutely spectacular), Duncan really made this role his own. As a kid, watching him face Daredevil was amazing to me. He will always be missed, and he left us too early.

He was so amazing in the role... very suave and charismatic while also being intimidating to boot.
We miss you, Michael Clarke Duncan.
I wonder why Kignpin screamed when Daredevil tripped him so he fell to his knees ?
god rest his soul
You know, I was so used to Kingpin being white... but after watching this when it came out, he's the ONLY one who could bring him justice... and he's the only reason I bought the movie! RIP Michael Clarke Duncan.

Best kingpin ever may he rest in peace!
What's funny is that both Duncan and Affleck were in Armageddon too.
Why is that funny?
1:23 Is that a Raimi Spider-Man reference?
God I love the way he called him "The Daredevil"
Mr. Duncan, thank you for sharing your talents.
Gone too soon.
Am I the only one who prefer's this Kingpin over the white one?
Jon Keiser No, you aint the only one
DeAndre Willis Thank you.
Nope
bless this man
RIP lste great Michael Clark Duncan!!
I'm pretty sure he would have been in the marvel universe if he was still alive as the king pin
da oringinal kingpin is black in comic but he was change to not risk racial tension back then
Yeah. Similarly, Mr. Smithers from The Simpsons was black, but they changed him to white since having a black man serve a wealthy white man (Mr. Burns) was a bad look.
Amazing portrayal of Kingpin.
Rest In Power Big Mike! 🙏🏾
He should've been in the Raimiverse trilogy.
He was the best part of the movie!
he died sadly
He was great
we love you man... RIP
it would have been great though is roscoe lee browne played the role if he was alive still and younger, for those that dont know who he is, he was black and he did the voice of kingpin in the spiderman animated series

I liked his performance, despite not being a huge fan of the movie.
RIP to clarke

Kingpin met superman
@alexman378 I'm African American. Don't worry. No offense taken.
When I first saw this guy doing the kingpin, no offence but I was very used to kingpin being white. After some moments, I started thinking rhat no one else could have done him better
RIP MCD
Kingpin is height 6ft7 weight 400Ibs
If they can get the film rights.
@alexman378 Butterbean is made for the role. If only he could act.
Why did they not make anothur Dare Devil Movie
It’s because the theatrical cut is bad. Fox should have released the director’s cut in theaters.
isn't he kinda "tanned" to be playing Fisk?
Give them time, Marvel will probably go the re-boot route with another Daredevil movie in a few years or less.
Well, they went with a show, lol. And now they're rebooting it again 😄
why tf is the other kingPIMP in the Netflix series better then MCD as him?
Why R.I.P
but he gone
Tus
RIP MCD
RIP MCD
