When Brian said Jericho probably would've got in front on the camera and bladed himself. I started dying 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The Wizard...I'll hit you with a fireball 🔥😅
😆 🤣 😂
Next year, the ring needs to change like a Transformer into humanoid form and wrestle Lesnar.
I would pay money to see that

Lesnar goes over with an F-5 on the Transformer from the top of the arena.

I don't think I've ever seen the ring being lifted off the ground, loved that spot
Exactly, I was wonder why there were no LED Lights on the ring because that's a thing in WWE and then when I saw the tractor spot I was like "Oh..."
You haven’t seen Big Show do it with his bare hands!
@@TheNerdDogg he didn’t lift the ring, he tipped it over in WCW.🤦🏻♂️
@@WSK9002 wish they'd get rid of the led lights for the post. I'm tolerant on the apron even that kinda annoys me sometimes but ok. But the led post? I don't like. Whenever I create an arena on 2k I use classic ring post. Quite frankly I don't like the whole extra led lights vibe in the first place. For the titantron the ramp. No bring back the classic slanted steel ramp and 10 foot stage at the top.
8 Heyman being lifted jokes later.....
That tractor spot was one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen in my 35 years of watching wrestling. I think WWE does big spots better than AEW because they don’t spam them constantly week after week
Plus WWEs camera crew is way more experienced. As much as it pains me to say, Dunn is way better at cuts than TKs crew. How many times has AEW tried a huge spot only for a novice camera guy to catch the wrong angle or the truck not switch to a different angle quick enough and it was ruined because we saw the gimmick?
Also WWE has a much better production crew
@@bettyframe8044 yeah people blame the wrestlers but the camera guys show bad angles and even replay bad spots. Maybe you don't want someone to be too overbearing but they could use more direction. Same when Jim Ross is mentioning things audience is thinking but he isn't supposed to say.
Plus, they don't have the anticipation the same way.....ala the Death Match that wasn't. So when something like this happens, you can't be let down, because it wasn't expected.
@@deft__12 ahhh yes the 65 camera cuts every 45 sec. Sooo much better
This match was insane. Honestly the best match Roman and Brock ever had, and a wild ride. We got the hear the real Michael Cole for the first time in a long time. Brock and Roman looked great. The tractor was used in fun and creative ways. Brock launched himself off it to start the match, dumping Roman into the ring, and even flipping half the ring. That was totally insane. Theory got involved, and Heyman took a massive table bump. Yes while it did suck that Roman won, yet again. This doesn't hurt Brock, in fact, it makes him look even more like a monster. Look what it took to beat him, It took Theory, the USOs, multiple shots with the MiTB briefcase, multiple title shots, and literally everything they could bury him with to keep him down. That makes Brock look damn near unstoppable. The fans who loved it are still talking about it several days later. The first PPV without Vince is one for the history books. Tony Khan is in a corner somewhere crying because he didn't think about it first and Meltzer is going to hate it, because well it's Meltzer.
You think he doesn't read what people say online? If anything, Cole probably timed an adjustment to his verbal diarrhea for this moment knowing it would fit well with the narrative that blames McMahon instead of him. Of course he can do that. He wasn't always pure diarrhea. But guess who was in charge back then, when he would have been fired for doing what he'd later do? Vince McMahon. But the truth is coming out now. McMahon was never the problem, it was the yes-men, and fans like you who will be yes-men for the yes-men. I have never ever seen the people blaming McMahon for everything explain away the glory days. Because deep down, they're just terrified of blaming the right people, Cole, Orton, and Cena. They were not a part of WWE's prior success. McMahon is the opposite. He was at the center of it. The culture of participation trophies and softness and fake positivity FORCED McMahon to keep that unholy trinity around all this time as an act of CHARITY to them. And deep down? I think every last person knows it. Look how the defense of Cole boils down to "cmon be sympathetic" which inherently admits he's bad and foretells the online whining that would happen if he got 'bullied'. Orton could've been the check and balance. He could've been like all the other multigenerational names, and kept the standards up. But he's utterly indifferent and lazy.
One more thing: on the Vince and Pat interview, Pat McAfee very clearly acknowledged that he isn't being controlled on commentary. But I know they will still be pretending Vince controlled everything 100 years from now.
Props to you for watching mediocrity
It didn't suck that Roman won at all that's how I was supposed to go cuz he's not losing that title until the rock beats him for it or they build up someone enough to look credible
Usually we don’t remember anything about these ppvs besides returns…with this one we’ll always remember that tractor spot
Exactly that spot got everyone talking. people don't usually talk about WWE ppvs days after they finish but people are still talking about it.
At this point, I knew EXACTLY what Corny would say. And I agree. Not hardly wrestling, but it was that insane rush of demolition we missed from the 90’s, which is what made it wonderful.
If it was all or mostly in the ring itd be boring bc theyve pretty much had a million matches that i dont think ppl were looking forward to it once more.
You can't win a Last Match Standing match with wrestling in the ring.. if it was, it would be quite boring.. not every match is designed to be in the ring..
This match was a spectacular spectacle, it made me want to watch WWE again.
Same, Becky vs Bianca, Miz vs Logal Paul and this match, things are getting better.
I'll have to start watching at least PPV's
Really even if WWE did this in 99 Austin drove a beer truck 🚛 to the ring, 03 Angle drove a milk truck 🚒 to the ring and 2022 Brock drove a tractor 🚜 to the ring!!!! HHH just re-using old storylines
It was a peak world wrestling *ENTERTAINMENT* match. Had the graps, had 2 big imposing beefcakes beating the piss out of each other and had stuff thatd jaw drop you or have you belly laughing. This match wasn't about quality graps, it set out to be a spectacle and it nailed it

Michael Cole did an awesome job here. Amazing the difference when Vince isn’t screaming in your ear
He was solid when smackdown first debuted. People forget he doesnt actually suck he’s just commentating how he’s told

Jon Moxley must have hated this match he wanted to have a hardcore match with Brock at Wm 32 but Brock was shooting down all his ideas 🤣
I can feel Mox seething at this and he’ll probably bleed out as retaliation
If Brock likes you he will give you a somewhat decent match. Look at Seth, AJ, Finn, Samoa joe and Daniel Brian match he really let them get some offense in. Then you look at Kofi and ricochet and Ambrose... nuff said
Moxleys ideas probably would have sounded like the Johnny Knoxville vs Sami Zayn match to Brock

@@Topshelfmedia1 With Kofi really it wasn't a match, just an F5 & goodbye. I don't see why Brock would dislike Kofi.
This Match was fantasic because of Michael Cole's Commentary especially when Brock kept getting up that was the most entertaining that Micheal has been since pat McAfee Joined the smackdown Commentary team this was an all out Brawl and it's 10X Better than the Barbed wire deathmatch with Chris Jericho and Eddie Kingston in my Honest opinion.
Cole was great that night
At this point, Eddie Kingston is a fat jobber who cuts promos that verge into absolute silliness.
Name one talent he's gone over.
When a commentator isn't being screamed at in his ear every five minutes....
I thought the commentary was dead. We needed JR from 1992.
@@d.carpenter7519 y'all gonna keep mentioning this, a script being torn up a decade ago and the word "pal"? Michael Cole has been good for years and even was good with Taz over a decade ago. He got corny but I think his Anonymous Raw General Manager schtick got good heat especially embracing his corniness
It's exactly Jim's opinion of the Attitude Era which he's a part of: the wrestling sucked, but the business and the spectacle of it, BOOM. He gets it, and he should.
You're confusing that with 93-96.
The match was fantastic. The commentary was on point too.
Cole was on fire in this match
Cole Unchained
"He just lifted the ring with a g** damn tractor"- Michael Cole who added to this match the way Graves did to Cody vs Seth at Mania 38. Cowboy Brock, Heyman, Usos, and our Tribal Chief delivered an outstanding match(no blading necessary) to end a really good show.
Lmao that made me laugh so hard. “HE LIFTED THE RING WITH A GOD DAMN TRACTOR!” 😂😂
Him lifting the ring a quarter of the way off the ground with the tractor wasn't even crazy lol Now if he full on destroyed the ring and smashed it and drove all over it then that would be crazy... but it was pointless. It just literally lifted the ring and then they couldn't wrestle in the ring anymore...
@@eldiablo3794 LOL...it definitely was crazy. LOL. What are you talking about?

I see what jim is saying but I absolutely loved this match. I loved everything about it. If this is brock's last match I hate to see him go but what a way to go out. You could see he was having a blast out there doing this. Good for him.
I guess he is advertised for the day 1 paperview 2023. Only guy on the poster though according to the IWC
He wasn't wrong, there could be an awesome but bad match at the same time. In this case, this is a bad championship match but a great spectacle, and tbh there is nothing wrong with it
This was great. It was never going to be a wrestling match, this was going to be a full on fight. This is really my only problem with how Cornette sees things. I don't think he's out of touch...it's just he wants the match in the ring. Brawling around the arena sucks for the live crowd but these matches aren't for the live crowd. They're for the television audience.
Completely agree. This "match" was highly entertaining. Cornett just wants to see in-ring tacticians. This was a brawl. And this should be expected.
But that's why you have a show in the building, so they can you know, see.
If Austin/rock had done this it would’ve been the greatest thing ever. This was fucking cool and exactly what they should be doing more of. Now if only they can cut down on the ridiculous number of tv they produce they’ll really be on to something
@@maxxdahl6062 it's like going to a sporting event. You go to be part of the crowd, to be in that atmosphere but watching baseball or Football in one of these giant stadiums is a terrible experience unless you've got awesome seats.
Wrestling is the same way, unless you're around ringside your watching it on the big screen in the arena. There's no commentary and when the guys aren't in the ring, moving around the arena you can't see them so you have to watch it on the screen.
He’s not out of touch like you said but he doesn’t know what a real fight looks like.
Legit yelled "oh shit" when Brock flipped the ring over with the tractor. I might start watching WWE TV more often now.
I really liked this match. It was different from there other ones. It was fun and chaotic and the pace never slowed down
"INTRODUCING A BIG ASS COUNTRY BOY"

That tractor spot is why we love wrestling. That's the kind of crazy shit you don't get anywhere else.
speak for yourself
Most of us loved it. These kind of matches are how we fell in love with wrestling in the 90s
That whole match was awesome. And Cole’s commentary was just epic.
"FOR THE LOVE OF GOD COUNT FASTER!!!" is an all time great call.
I agree, thought Cole was great all night. Everyone seems so energized and enthusiastic. This was the best WWE ppv I’ve seen in years and it felt like we’re just scratching the surface. I was excited for RAW last night for the first time in a very long time. If this is the new direction, I’m in.
This call was fantastic
Hogan vs Andre was a HORRIBLE match too but it was a SPECTACLE and that's what WWE does best.
Only Dave Meltzer thinks it was horrible.
Just when we thought we'd seen it all... Good for WWE; I enjoyed the ring lift and roll out :)
99 Austin drove a beer truck 🚛 to the ring, 03 Angle drove a milk truck 🚒 to the ring, and 2022 Brock drove a tractor to the ring 😦 HHH just re-using old storylines

That tractor spot was insane. Props to roman and brock for going through with that. It needed to be done correctly or it would of looked awful.
The small things that made this match for me was Lesnar smooth Catch of the microphone then roman caught it just as smooth then we Got Air Lesnar again (not the shooting star Im talkingabout when he jumped off the forklift) , Roman tumbling believably out the ring, Heyman trying to give Brock the belts then his OMG when Brock picked him up.
I loved the Austin Beer Truck spot back in the day too, but its just a cute skit compared to Brock lifting the ring. _THAT_ was on another level. A crazy moment, we'll remember for a long time.
Can you remind me what you're talking about because I already forgot. Oh, roman vs brock episode 12? I'll see you on the next episode of dragon ball z
@@kyleabent dude get a life. You’re all over the comments bitching about this match. If it’s that forgettable you would be talking about it
@@kyleabent shut up and let people enjoy things, my dude
I don't see what was so impressive about the spot honestly. It has that wow factor, as in no one expected it...but it did nothing to make the match a GOAT match. Just another spot. The beer truck was epic, he came down and hosed everybody down, and the heat for that feud itself was nuclear. The tractor just lifted the ring, Roman rolls out....and that's it. It was cool then immediately....meh.
@@AeromaticAero That's cool. Everyone has different taste and things they enjoy. I thought Austin somehow getting a beer truck with a hose close to the ring, with everyone standing there as he sprayed them, was pretty funny too. The image of Brock lifting the ring and Roman rolling to the floor just seems like a bigger, more unique moment in my mind. But it's all subjective.
Cole yelling at the ref to count faster was the best, weirdest call I think I've ever heard.
That was unintentional funny af lol 😅🤣
Fantastic way to end the feud (please let it be the end). They needed this to be the equivalent of Godzilla vs. Kong and this was the best way to do that. Watching monsters like this collide, even in a 'garbage' match, is so much more palatable than the 100-pound indie darlings.
Those fucking "100 pounds indeed darlings" at least show up every night unlike Mr MMA Lumberjack! I am so sick of you Cornette Crusaders giving guys like Gresham, Deppen, Tracy and all the other great wrestlers today shit just because they don't shoot up steroids in their arms or kiss up to daddy Vince every 5 seconds! It's not about looks anymore
@@zemox2534 100% agreed. Well said.
@zeno Never heard of them.
@@zemox2534 it's not just about their looks, it's the way most modern wrestlers work a match. Nobody is asking for wrestlers to take some tren and be 300% muscle. They just want wrestlers to look like athletic human beings instead of some walmart employee that restock shelves.
@@zemox2534 buddy, if you think any normal person would rather watch a Gresham match over a Lesnar match, there's not much point having an argument here. I don't mind indie darlings as much as the next person, good for them, I hope they make a good living off of the business. But bad mtches are bad matches. If you're one of the 'oh it's an art, a performance' camp, sure maybe it is, I'm just saying that a lot of the indie darlings don't put on good performances. If bad acting in bad movies get criticized, expect the same to also happen in wrestling.
THIS is how you do a gimmick match. AEW please take notes. This was a spectacle.
AEW, please don't take notes. Roll over and die so the true symbol of excellence can reclaim the crown of wrestling.

I really like that Cole is finally fitting into the JR role, no one will ever touch JR but he sold this match fucking brilliantly!
I was smiling ear to ear seeing Lesnar getting back up over and over again, I wish they would’ve put somebody younger over like that but it’s a nonissue at this point.
when he screamed “for the love of god count faster!!!” I said look at Cole bringing it!
No more Vince in his ear
Jim Cornette is showing age here. He's showing the same mindset that McMahon had at an old age. That match between Reigns and Lesnar was meant to be a brawl, and a brawl with an AWESOME visual spectacle. It was a memorable moment, PPV worthy. Reigns and Lesnar have been in... How many straight on wrestling matches?? Summerslam was a fresh take and it was fun to witness. Even if I paid so much money to be at ringside where I couldn't see the wrestlers perform because the ring was raised by a tractor, its still an awesome moment; especially if I had to explain to someone why I couldn't see them, lol. HHH is fresh minded and exciting.
Nah. That’s just a selfish mindset. The reality is people paid a fortune to sit at ringside for this thing and had the view ruined by a stupid stunt with a tractor that had no reason to be anywhere near the building. Those fans are going to come out of this event thinking “I’m not going to risk buying tickets to these events again”. They’re not going to talk about this to their friends outside the wrestling fanbase because it sounds ridiculous just like most of the wrestling shows now. The only people who’ll praise this are the million or so fans in the online echo chambers that tune into this shit no matter what. They’ll jerk off over this until somebody inevitably one-ups it while the normal people who hear about it or see it will laugh at the Jackass-level shitshow that wrestling has become.

I got hospitalized so I had to watch this on my phone so when Brock almost flipped the ring I popped and so did my blood pressure 😂
I honestly didn't like this match much at all. The gimmick spots werent impressive to me. A tractor, oh cool. Oh more tables and weapons, cool. Ohhh Brock flips the ring with the tractor...ok?? Roman rolls out and now the ring is senselessly destroyed. They've had way better matches. it got interesting when theory came down, then Roman started getting frustrated and trash talking, but as a whole...it sucked to me.
i like Jim don’t like matches like these usually but for it being Brock & Romans like 6th or 7th match fans expectations were low bc they had seen so many matches between the 2 & i like the tractor & all the extra shit bc it’s believable that Brock & Roman would fight like hell & want to beat each other , i really loved this match for WWE . also you can tell Brock really loved this & had fun with this because of his after match reaction & sitting in the ring with the cowboy hat on
People giving this praise when they constantly shit on AEW's gimmick matches, just lol. I love corny but his fanbase is so hypocritical
AEW has gimmick matches every week, they are poorly executed, and feature no one on Brock or Roman's level...Also the Dog Collar Match with CM Punk vs MJF was praised which to be fair they're great and Corny likes them both.... Also Corny's fanbase are pretty much old people who hate all wrestling because of various biases or people who wait for Cornette to give them an opinion. This is always the case. Just because you disagree in this instance doesn't mean Cornette isn't consistent.

It is entirely possible that the tractor works with air brakes. If that is the case, you have to let the engine idle for a few minutes before the air pops. Tractor probably wouldn't go if their air brakes are engaged.

well it was definitely a good piece of business. and it starts a dialogue. how do we define the quality of a match nowadays? by how clean the holds and transitions are done? by how real the punches look? if you say it is about storytelling then this match did a great job at that. all the little interferences and grandiose spots told a story of 2 behemoths who want to do anything to destroy each other. in that regard you can't complain. what (for lack of a better word) purists may not like is that the way the deliver the story was cinematic rather than by classic wrestling.
I like Reigns but WTF your not Goldberg and you're damn spears look sooo weak and the superman punch is the ONLY damn move he does i hate it ... Maybe a samoan drop occasionally... Learn new moves
It's probably good for the wrestling industry that Jim Cornette never really amounted to very much. If he were running things it would be 6 guys doing the same thing over and over again. Poor guy just can't get out of small town wrestling of the 70's
Nothing can get me to watch wrestling again...but I'll listen to Cornette talk about it for the rest of my life. I saw the clip of Lesnar lifting the ring and was like "yea OK sure". It did absolutely nothing for me.
I watched from beginning to end how the bloodline started after Reigns turned heel. Why didn't they try this before? It's like the whole Rocky Mayavia character all over again. I've never seen a guy go from so stale to having so much charisma all from a heel turn.
This was basically Goku vs Jiren in wrestling form. It was an absolutely insane spectacle and I loved every minute of it. It made sense because its these incredible super heavyweights in the match versus say the barbed wire fiasco with the washed up politician rock star and a guy who thinks he is in 1993 All Japan.
It’s crazy that Jim said you can tell these are their two money guys. I remember in the 90s when half the roster got that crowd reaction and were money guys.
Yet if AEW did the same thing Jim would be ranting about "garbage mudshow wrestling". It's called kissing ass for a HOF spot.
I thought it was amazing. It was brutal with just a bit of comedy. I had zero interest in the match going in. Coming out of the match I was greatly entertained.
Lost me at the end. Only so many times I can watch a slow ten count knowing the result was gonna be a Lesnar loss. Must've been seven or eight in a row it was a slog
Definitely not a match of the year candidate, but it definitely was a spectacle. I even showed my parents the next day. Basically like, u gotta see this🤣
Summerslam was my first WWE show I've seen since 2009ish. It was good shit pal.
This was the best match I have seen in year's from WWE. I like SummerSlam this year
Brock has retired has he not? Right after the match when they went of air
Wow a fair and almost unbiased review of WWE by Jim AND Brian. A round of applause and a solid like from me. Keep up the good work.
This match came straight from the attitude era. Definitely in my top 5 all time last man standing match
Triple h vs Jericho fully loaded 2000
Roman vs Brock Summerslam 2022
Batista vs The undertaker backlash 2007
John Cena vs Bray Wyatt Payback 2014
Askua vs Nikki Cross Nxt
HHH vs. HBK Royal Rumble 2004 I would put in.
Jim is 100% right. This is the worst ppv world title match in history of the wwe/wwf.
Folks paid $4k for floor seating and couldnt see due to ring being lifted at the end
The WWE proved that we can do it better and make it look good. This was AWWSOME.
That tractor was leaps and bounds better than "exploding barb wires".
This match was way better than wrestlemania one.
This is how you do a "garbage" match.
This match just left me speechless and in disbelief.
