I try to simulate an analog workflow by putting one (neve) on every track, then tape, and only then I put another NLS SSL followed by a full channel strip and start mixing. on the mix bus some mix bus, a little EQ, limiter and back to another tape.. 😅😅
@@nickmilk123 I appreciate your words! Glad you found the video educational. The NLS is a killer audio tool! I am sure you will get amazing results! Please if you enjoy this content like and subscribe to the channel. Ciao!
Great Video!!! There seems to be a lot of negative things out there about this old plugin, but bottom line, it makes my mixes sound better, mix easier and gives them excitement. I think this is still one of the best ITB plugins today, even as old as it is. Oh! and by the way, I was implenting the Waves NLS the exact same way you are and it good to get validation from you. Thanks!!!
Great Video!! QUESTION:If i use the NLS in the first insert slot only for coloring.Do i put the Nls Bus Plug in as well on my Master Chanel Insert? If yes where to route the nls chanels on none groupe or group 1-8. Thx
Nice detailed tutorial, Thanks. My question is, in a situation whereby one had 32 tracks, how are you going to route the tracks since it had only 8channels on nls on master output? is it only by grouping?

Grande! Am I misreading the values or your tracks are hitting -6dbfs "instead of" -18dbfs?
It's -6dbVU (analog sound originally in the ssl consoles etc always measured in VU)
Was adding this to my mix buss before I knew what it did I just knew it did something lol
DOPE!! Great Job...... From Your Boy Poorhouzzzzzzzz..SALUTE
