  • Hi everyone,
I’m glad to share my experience with Camiño de Santiago. It’s precious experience that all of us could have in their life’s. We went in the end of August and at the beginning of September, I would say it still quite warm, but I would take very light jacket with me next time.
In total we walked 235 km. Me and my friend separated at the 7th day, I stopped in the city called Pontevedra and she continue walking. The reason is that I could not walk any longer due to the pain that I had - amount of blisters.
At the last day I took a train from Pontevedra to Padrón, where we start our last day of Camino. By the way, we thought that our Camino would be 215km, but not if you are taking Coast side because it would make you to walk 280km and we didn’t realize it.
    Spendings:
7 nights is albergue is 260€ for each
To buy food for 7 days of Camino is 210€ (some of the days, we used to buy food from supermarket which made us cut some spending by eating outside)
    Souvenirs is approximately 70€
What makes it in total 540€
Address where you can get a passport in Porto: Terreiro da Sé, 4050-573 Porto, Portugal (2€ for each pilgrim passport and they already have a stamp)
Address in Santiago where you can receive you pilgrim certificate: Rúa das Carretas, 33, 15705 Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña, Spain (working until 5pm)
oficinadelpere... - Also this information is very useful in case you need more knowledge. Don’t forget that you need to register for getting your credential, on the website everything explained.
I want also to mention (I forgot to say about it in the video) that we used app that called “Camino Ninja”, you can see all the cities on your way and calculate how many km you will walk before another stop. It shows what they have in the cities and if there is albergue, usually there is a phone number where you can contact with owner and ask to book begs or private room.
Hopefully you found some useful information in this video, and if you are planning to go to Camino soon or later, I want to wish you Buen Camino!
If you have any questions leave them below the video, I would be more than happy to answer them.
    Thanks! :)
