PERFECT SOIL PH: 10 Natural Ways to Achieve Ideal PH for Plants

  • Опубліковано 6 лип 2018
  • Many of my viewers ask a very important question - what is the perfect soil ph for plants? The answer to this question is not so simple, but I shall try to simplify this explanation and tell you what is the perfect or the ideal Soil PH for most plants and also 10 organic or natural ways to soil amendment and make your soil acidic or to the desired level.
Without going into too much depth, we will come straight to the point. What is the Perfect or the Ideal or the desired Soil PH for most plants. How will I measure this and How will I adjust the soil ph to this desired level.
This Value of Ideal soil pH could make a huge difference and really an important step for those looking to grow bountiful gardens. Because most of the nutrient absorption at root level happens at this ph. You may be adding a lot of fertilizers, supplements like micronutrient powders and stuff like that regularly to your plant, but if its not producing good results and you still have anaemic plants, then you should suspect something wrong with the soil PH, either its not favourable to your plant or the plant is unable to adapt to the ph changes.
    Watch Video for more..
How do I adjust my soil PH if its too Alkaline or even neutral to achieve the ideal PH around 6.5. or a better question is How to make soil more acidic specially for acid loving plants. You can checkout my video on the list of acid loving plants from a link at top right corner of this video and also in description.
Here are the top 10 natural ways to make your soil acidic if its alkaline and vice versa - see video.

Thank you for making this video. I've recently bought some coffee plants that require acid soil. I wasn't sure what to add to the soil to acidity. Normally I'm growing a garden and use wood ash to sweeten the soil, but had no idea what to use or how much of it to use. I really don't want to kill my new coffee bushes. I want to baby them and steal all their seeds to feed my morning habit. Lol.

Ok so I'm growing fruit trees in containers which are open to the ground (bottomless containers actually used washing machine drums with all those holes for root pruning). What is your suggestion of soil to use acidic or alkaline? Also do you think by using this choice of containers with all those little holes & making them open to the ground minimizes root boundness of the fruit trees?
Additionally between a cutting grown tree & an airlayered grown tree which providing optimum growing conditions provided (access to sunlight, fertilizer, nutrients etc.) Would be more productive & live longer?

    • @GardenTips

Great job. You are doing it right 👍 - Air Pruning. Slightly acidic soil around 6.0 is good. Air layering and cutting grown both are similar methods of vegetative propagation. Air pruning old video ua-cam.com/video/hkUOB1bHi2M/v-deo.html
