Man i want to get that 049. Im not a huge willard guy but I love the mm300 and the 8L35. They are the best seiko dive watches in my opinion. I think you can’t really get a better dive watch with in house movement at 3 grand than these.
The dials, bezels and overall finishing on these models is really nice. I'm a bit surprised we haven't received more interest in both. Thanks for viewing!
Yes pins and sleeves so basically same bracelet as spb151 and 183 The 183 is 5500 madr but that's for the whole world some countries have 500- 700 seiko dealers that's not a lot of watches. Return on investment the 183 is going to get you upwards of double what you paid for it once they're no longer available this watch you'd be lucky to get $500 more than you paid for it if you ever wanted to sell it return on investment 183, sla033 new ones still available

Thanks so much for getting back to me. I just picked up the SLA049, it is a gorgeous watch. Bracelet is not half bad, although the pin and collar system is still a bit fiddly. Overall very happy with the piece!

I’ve to admit that the placement of the crown at four o’clock and the date window at half past four doesn’t correspond to my personal taste. I’d have liked if the date window had been at the four o’clock position as well.

What's the bezel made from? Ceramic, like the glossy metal like the reissue SLA033 Willard or something else?

To my eye it's a dark grey/blue. In low light you might even think it's black.

The X logo makes the watch look too cheap..If it was the Marine Master logo, I might have bought it..
Well the original also had a small logo at 6 o'clock.
The new MM300 (SLA021) also has an X logo.
