I know. I noticed her dominating at the ‘fab 4’ interview. Leaning forward and I think blocking Kate’s sightline to the interviewer. And by the oddest of long shots I heard from someone who had worked for Buck Palace. She was allegedly a difficult woman to please. I think her mock bow shows her narcissism and I’ve contacted Netflix to say that between this series plus the Crown’s reductive and often misleading stuff and nonsense about people alive now- I’m considering ending my subscription. The answer was yes. So I’m reflecting on that today.

They are just plain disrespectful, ungrateful and unpleasant human beings. They've had so much, for doing so little but it'll never be enough. They are never going to be truly happy, always wanting more. What a sad existence.
Regarding not being given any instructions on royal protocol: I think the issue here is that she didn't WANT to learn any of it because it was not part of her ultimate plan. She never intended on becoming a part of the Royal Family (except in name/title recognition) therefore, learning the day-to-day ins and outs of royal life was a moot point in her mind.

I was just so disgusted when I saw her do this curtsy, but what made me even more disgusted is watching Harry (who clearly looked uncomfortable and not happy) not stop her and stand up for his grandmother. And then he agreed to allow this clip to remain in the final cut. If I were William, I would be infuriated with my brother.

And that Crazy about Harry line on the magazine cover ended up in yet another of her 'raysist' claims about the words being from a song sung by or about a black person.

Markle thought she could revive her film career but no one wanted a 40 year old d-list actress who's only achievement in her 20 year acting career was supporting actress in Suits filmed in Canada.

I am Kazakh women from unknown country for most of the world , but even I know everything about British Royal family and Royal etiquette.
We were always taught when you are in someone else's home, you live by their rules.
You can always be yourself, have your own rules your own habits, your own culture, food, everything that makes you You in your own house, your space,. You have to abide by the customs and laws in the country you live in and if you live in somebody else's house,you adapt to their rules. If you don't like the rules you may go if you please. I am Dutch, live in Canada and don't like all the customs here. I live by Canadian law and rules, but am myself within my own house. That is my right as an individual and a free person. I didn't adapt to the disgusting and abusive rules my ex mil had set out for me and she completely lost it. Why should I do that? Her motto was: when in Rome, do as the Romans. Why? Because it was all about control. She wanted to diminish me. I understand my situation is different than Meghan's, I am not in the public eye, but the gest of it all is not willing to lose yourself .

I was born and brought up in a third world country, I knew about how to curtsy to the queen, how the royals are, read a lot about them in magazines, saw tv shows featuring them, so much information out there! And this was before the internet! People in the states have a fascination about royals, you can’t miss it! This is the same person who said she never googled Harry. HM the late Queen provided MM with a number of her own personal assistants to help MM learn the ropes and took MM out on her first royal engagement. The fact that MM was not interested and had no intention of learning anything was because before she married, she had a plan to leave - hence inviting Winfrey, Clooney and other high profile and useful people to her wedding. She also retained the services of her personal manager and pr team when she married. So much of the story she tells of herself is made up. Tom Bower, the author of 'Revenge' has laid out very clearly the plans she made very early on. She has not sued him because his version is verifiably true - unlike hers. I agree with your comment. She wanted to be a second Diana, but on her own terms and she also wanted to be top dog as she thought herself as just as important as the Queen, if not better, since she regarded herself as more "modern" and appealed to impressionable young girls. MM is only a role model for how to sleep and lie your way to the top, with little or no talent but with a bit of plastic and dental surgery. As someone who has studied her remarked recently, "she is a very nasty piece of work."

HIT THE FREAKING BOOKSTORES! There are tons of text books about fine dining or full course meals etiquette! I taught hospitality students and I got my reference books from bookstores locally or internationally. You telling me a world class actress cannot go shopping???

My first ladies night, yikes, what to wear, older hands(experienced wives) there to advise, dinner table warning eight loads of cutlery, glasses, WHAT, out comes a dummy run picture of soup on table, one outstanding bit of advice, work from outside in, if you get lost pause and watch everyone else, do not have much to drink before sitting to table, choose a small drink to avoid excusing oneself during meal, so avoiding a fine of a bottle of port on hubbys mess bill, so if a submarine crew and wives are ready to advise I'm damn sure all the advisors she had 14 in all would have guided her through, also using the restaurants she used with her father, Toronto and London she would have known or been ostracized and called out on her manners. Prior to entering the RF

We were taught from early age all sorts of eating protocols from different cultures, inluding eating with knife and fork, the right posture, how to eat soup with a spoon the right way - holding it horizontally parallel with your mouth to sip the soup.. How to lay out the table in formal western way... As well as Japanese, Chinese or Malayan way. People from different places in the world are quite aware of each other's way of life... ..

My mother always told me if you want a measure of a person, look to how they treat the others in the sphere of influence when no one is looking. If they are estranged from their family, that is a red flag. If they demean their coworkers or subordinates, that is a red flag. If they do not respect and spend time with their parents, grandparents and siblings, that is a red flag. Megan failed on every point and he should have run to begin with. But I think Harry had a LOT of emotional problems of low self esteem. I'm sure, being that the affection and hands on parent was taken from him early, he, like his father before him, ended up being raised by a very cold system. He knew what he was missing and longing for, and that was the affectionate way his mother was with he and his brother. He was looking for someone to "save", someone to love him. He had the worst possible person to guide him - his father, who was also an emotional mess growing up. You can tell how jealous Harry is of his brother. Not necessarily on a personal level, but seeing that William got through the most difficult time in their lives in a very different way and made better choices in his life. Harry's life is all Harry's fault.

With Meghan, she has told lie after lie about her family. Rarely had any interaction with the black side of her family, even growing up. She told lies about growing up alone, when Samantha & Tom Jr (her 1/2 sibs) were a very active part of her life as a child & there are photos & videos to prove that.

She was given a 30 page dossier on how to be a Duchess 6 months before she married. It covered everything from fashion to ladies-in-waiting to arts in the U.K. and how to navigate public life. She was also offered to have the Duchess of Wessex, Sophie to guide and support her but she turned the offer down, saying she would turn to Harry to help her. The point here is, that she obviously always intended to move back to the USA, and here was one of many excuses to be given to do it.

She expected to stand front and centre on the balcony, took photos in private quarters, purposely defied the dress code, and was miffed when the Queen told her not to speak rudely to the staff.
It doesn't take very long to teach a grown woman which fork to use at a formal dinner. Really. Meghan doesn't want to take any responsibility, not even for learning table manners.

Once she “knew” that there was indeed a Royal family with Prince, Princess, Queen etc in England, because let’s not forget her claim to Oprah and her claim on their very first engagement interview - that she never knew England had royalty,…. So surely an intelligent woman, who she and Harry kept driving into us, surely one would expect that if she felt they were getting serious and there was a possibility of meeting any Royal family member, that she would enrol in a private finishing school type of class - an etiquette one. Actually, now that I’ve written that, I distinctly remember an Etiquette Guy, the top English one, did an interview about being approached by her in order to teach her how the English do things. She let it slip to him that she was dating an eligible Prince and said she wasn’t at liberty to disclose who the Prince was at that stage. He said it wasn’t half obvious it was Harry as he was the only eligible bachelor. He explained she claimed to want to learnt but rushed him through it, forever giggling that it’s ok I really do know how to eat, hahaha, and that he found her rude and disrespectful. This was months before the wedding. He also mentioned she had told him she was given 17 folders to learn How to be a Royal, she read a part of one and decided to make her own mould of being a Royal, that she had the queens private lady in waiting for 6 weeks to learn but returned her after four days.

As a child who went to dancing classes, as a trained actress albeit not a very sparklingly talented one, as a little girl who pretended to be a princess, and as someone who must have watched related films, etcetera... does she really expect anyone to believe that she didn't know how to do a discreet little curtsey.? Furthermore, as someone who ran a blog about fine dining and good living, she should have been able to learn about some of the finer points of table/dining etiquette! She had her eyes on being a princess for sure, she planned it all but when she married Harry but when she found out she would not be the Star of the show and the duties she would have to undertake was enormous and tiring she decided it was not for her so she persuaded Harry to leave. They wanted to keep their titles for free and get all the benefits from it without working for it. So when they didnt get what they want they decided to attack the Royal family with lies and innuendos and make as much money from it as they could by getting book deals and a deal with Netflix.
