Turkey Rod Run--Night time at One Daytona Mall 11-29-2019

Every night during the Turkey Rod Run event, they have a cruise night across the street from the track, at Daytona 1 Mall. What an experience, cars and people everywhere. We didn’t make it to Saturday night event. We left a little after dark and from what I heard, you had a hard time finding a parking spot later that night. What a great event. Everyone attending the Turkey Rod Run should try and make it over to this cruise in the evening.

Yup. I keep experimenting with my mic. It’s tough cutting out the background music and not have other issues. I think I know what caused this.

Night time car shows are pretty cool. Just like back in the day, in the High School era. Hanging out in the parking lots at night.

I remember about 30 of us hanging around the town square at 2 o’clock in the morning, after we got back from cruising the beach. Those were the days.

Are you the gentleman that used to compete in NETRA. I just wanted to say hi. I have a ton of respect for anyone who ran New England enduros. We’re the only ones who know how hard it was to compete in that series. I wish I could today. LOL.

@@37spiker I'm one of the many. First dirt bike in '77, rode mostly Turkey runs for the first few years. My son rode Jr Enduros and HS all the way up to the "A" classes. I started riding some Enduros and most of the Hare Scrambles until I blew out a knee probably in the mid 90's. We traveled Maine to Florida, but mostly NETRA. I watch a lot of GO-PRO helmet videos on UA-cam and I too wish I could, still to this day.
Your car show videos are the best. I watch them all.

Thank you. I had 10 knee surgeries while I was competing. Then a double knee replacement and a hip replacement in my later years. Then a few years ago I had 2 carpal tunnel surgeries. I guess racing took its toll on my body. But, I’d do it all over again if I could turn the clock back. You should be proud of your sons accomplishments. I watch the GNCC races on TV and I do miss it.
