Thanks for the clarity on the relationship of Spaces vs Collections. I see that Spaces can be paid or free. Can a Collection also be paid or free? (context will likely be business plan)
Hi Andrew, Access control is available at the "door" to a space or the "door" into a network. A collection is a navigation/organizational tool. Payment through the Mighty Networks platform is down with a plan. A plan can be set up for one or more spaces. You could create a plan for all of the spaces in a collection if you want. You can't create a plan for a collection. This is a short answer to a much longer discussion than can be done in comments. 🙂
Here’s a Mighty Networks support article that talks about gating in plans- including token gated and charging for access faq.mightynetworks.com/en/articles/3825215-how-do-i-gate-access-to-all-or-parts-of-my-mighty-network
@@ChadlyCreativeConsulting I guess the question is: if I have multiple courses and no free space, what is the network called? Now I am using my free space as my "school lobby"" but if I don't have that, won't the name of the overall network just default to the name of one of the spaces? I would like to have it be a unique name.
@@somaticembodywork I also answered in the other comment thread. The network name is not tied to the name of any of the spaces in the network. It is separate. The network name is set in the Admin settings (formerly known as Network settings).
Thanks so much for all these informative videos! A question: What sort of legal disclaimers etc. do you post in your network? Looking for samples and ideas. Thx
You are very welcome! I share legal disclaimers and policies in the bottommost collection in my network. You can see what that looks like starting at 2:08 in this video: ua-cam.com/video/j2ha142xW_c/v-deo.html I share how to share them on your network landing page starting at 1:09 in this video: ua-cam.com/video/GMf6xLSD1Us/v-deo.html You can see the policies here: www.clcneighborhood.com/collections/4183 I purchased these policies as part of Heather Pearce Cambell's Website Protection Package. Hi Marcia, I'm the artist in residence in a mighty network group and I wonder if it is possible to create a "gallery space"? Is there a template or features that would allow you to have a space that was many thumbnail images that could be clicked on to see a bigger image? Or is it all "feed" style of posts? I use a squarespace website and there are many blocks where you can have galleries of images... I'm wondering if there are any features like that in MN? Thank you!
Hello Elise! There isn't a specific image gallery feature - yet anyway. It wouldn't surprise me if that is added at some point. Some things you could play with as a workaround are the list view of an activity feed and the thumbnail view of a table of contents.
Thank you for this! Really educational. I have a question though, is there a way to add a single member to multiple spaces without actually going in to every space and clicking the invite button? I have just moved to Mighty Networks from an old platform and we already have clients who had purchased our programs before. I made our programs as spaces in Mighty Networks. I want to be able to just add/invite a member in multiple spaces faster. Is this possible? It's a bit time-consuming to do the invites for each space. P.S. Most of our clients have different pre-purchased courses e.g. Client 1 has course a, course b and course c, while Client 2 has course b, course c and course f. So that's what I'm trying to figure out. I want to be able to add different courses in just one place.
There isn't a comment sized answer to your question - because the strategy depends on the bigger picture of what you are doing. Here are a couple of things to know as you move forward: Mighty Networks plans can be used to provide access to multiple spaces at once. Plans "without payment gates" are often used to provide access to people who purchased outside of the network. You'll also need to consider the network type and desired access when deciding things like using internal or external plans. I enjoy guiding people through these kind of decisions and strategy making. You can read about my services and set up a free discovery call here: www.chadlycreativeconsulting.com/services

As I am understanding it, I will need two separate payment options for a new space? ie existing members can join if the network is included in the pricing versus selling externally which needs to include network?
That is one way to do things. But I can't know if that is the way for you to do it in your network without a larger discussion about the network strategy and structure.
Thank you for this, Marcia! Your video was informative and also inspires me to dive in and begin building my community.

What is token gated mean? How do I set that up? Thank you

if you have multiple spaces, do you need to make a space for the front door, or what would you use as the front door/
You do not have to have a space that everyone in the network belongs too. Is that what you are asking?

What is the difference between a “gate“ versus paying? Thank you
