    Thanks for the unbiased review! This will be helpful for many for sure. We have an iOS and Android app; Circle just has an iOS app at the moment.
    For the featured section in a Mighty Network, the Host themselves gets to choose what they want to have there. It's a great way to make sure your members see what's most important and relevant at the time.

      Thank you for clarifying on the operating systems that you support and that Circle supports!

    Had you had the chance to check out Heartbeat yet? Just curious if you had and what your thoughts were in comparison.

      Ooh no I haven't had a chance to play with Heartbeat yet, thanks for mentioning it! I'll get my hands on it a bit and see how it compares :)

    You mention that with yours I wouldn't be building on rented land. However, you're still a SaaS that I would have to pay as long as I use it...just like the others. You can still raise prices or remove features etc. What makes you different. Isn't your software "rented land"?

      Hi Eric! That's a good question and it comes down to the fact that you have the website files, database, and code... so yes to use the plugin you need to be an active paying subscriber.
      However, you could easily switch to a different plugin and import your data (depending on the plugin, it might even work out of the box without doing any major changes). So you're not truly "locked out" of your own data or content in any way, and there are options for switching that make it easier.
      Hope that makes sense! :)

      @@AccessAlly Can you name a similar plugin, please?

      @@karenmack2005 We've got CommunityAlly which is coming out this fall.
      There are also free plugins like bbPress, BuddyPress, and then other paid plugins like BuddyBoss or WPForo too.
      I've got a bit more info in this blog post: accessally.com/blog/membership-forum-dilemma/

    Thanks! What do you think about the tribe platform? It has developed incredibly lately, hasn't it?

    • @AccessAlly
      @AccessAlly  2 роки тому +1

      Yes Tribe is really cool too and have come a long way as well. Their target customers seem to be bigger SaaS businesses though, so I'm not 100% sure if they are the right fit for more online course or digital entrepreneurs. Could totally be wrong about that though.

    I believe Notifications in Mighty Network are fully customizable. You can even turn them off.

      That's a great point Karen, thank you for mentioning that! I think it's awesome that people have more control over their notifications.

    hi Nathalie. I'm wondering if you or anyone else in the comments knows of a online course builder platform that allows you to grid your content. It would be nice to be able to grid exercise tutorials from beginner to advanced and see them in the course player in grid format?
    thank you.

      @AccessAlly  Рік тому

      Hi Simon! You can do this in a WordPress plugin like AccessAlly and using a theme like Bricks Builder or a plugin that specializes in grids like "GridBuilder".
      Then people can sort or display just say the advanced items or the beginner ones in the grid. :)

    I have an accounting website with over 100K users every month. I want to create a forum based community (focus is forum but need other expansions in future). Can I use MN or Circle, or Discourse? TIY

      It's hard for me to offer specific recommendations - it might be worth signing up for a trial or month of each to see what it's like and do a test import for a smaller group possibly?

    Does any of these platforms support multiple languages for easy localization?

    • @AccessAlly
      @AccessAlly  2 роки тому +1

      Neither Mighty Networks or Circle have localization options to translate or allow for multiple languages.
      However, CommunityAlly does have this ability to display translated or localized buttons, descriptions, etc. That's because it's a WordPress option and can leverage more of that international expertise.

    all of these are still stuck in the old ways. nobody is mobile first, and clean and simple.

    • @AccessAlly
      @AccessAlly  Рік тому

      That's a fair assessment. I think many platform creators are focusing on mobile more, but desktop tends to be where efforts are focused in the beginning.
