I can't even see the purpose or reasoning behind releasing any insulin pump that is not compatible with a CGMS to form a closed loop system. If they had released this back when Omnipod first came out with its tubeless pump, sure it makes sense. But today? After Omnipod finally caught up and released its closed loop pump. What a waste of time and effort to make this pump. About like an auto parts manufacturer developing the best 4 barrel carburetor ever. The world will really notice.
Luv ya Justin but 120 days equals 4 months. 3 months would be 90 days. Keep putting out videos, they are so helpful and your energy is infectious! I just had to razz you on this one ;-}
This is great news. You mentioned your interviews with Abbott. Have you asked them why there phone apps are so limited? I wonder what they say about that.
hi roche pull out of the north america market years ago and the solo has been out for years now in the uk aus etc it almost feels like a plan to go after omnipod market no word on canada yet but health canada will most likey say something soon
Son had a version of this a year or so ago in the UK as his first pump and had no end of problems with it. Moved to the Omnipod Dash which was miles better. Diabetes nurse said lots of others had problems with it so not an isolated case.
If the FDA has cleared this new tubeless insulin pump, the medical staff at the Stamford Hospital Diabetes and Endocrine Center don’t seem to know about it. My problem is I am a 76 year old type one diabetic on the Omnipod 5 system, looped to the Dexcom 6 CGM. In January of 2025, I am moving permanently to Brazil. Neither Omnipod nor Dexcom are marketed in Brazil. But the Roche Accu-Chek pump system IS marketed in Brazil. I would like to switch to the Roche pump if it is marketed here in 2024. Insurance here will mostly pay for it. Can you inform the Stamford Hospital Diabetes and Endocrine Center that this pump is here now? The Roche reps need to visit the Stamford Hospital Diabetes and Endocrine Center and let them know this is available.
Omnipod works fine with Android phones. The Accu-Check is: Not waterproof. Not compatible with CGMs. The multi-component system is sepsis waiting to happen from the required reusing of parts.
This is so nice PRODUTC from whom suffer with DIABETES 1 and 2. I ´ve almost died last year without any diabetes control but GOD let me survive these year with a miracle help and support. I´m willing to use these TUBELESS PUMP as soon as possible. THANK U GOD for these company delevoping these amazing product for us. I hope to use it till die.
No cgm?!?? Hard pass. Also, accuchek's glucometers are absolute garbage, easily the worst I've ever used. Even if they had a cgm, I'd steer clear.

Where's the pump with built-in CGM?
This looks really cool! A bit complicated but love thé reusable components.

No CGM connection, no loop. The thing is like 5-10 years behind.

Lots of steps and you can’t get it wet. What’s the point again?

Don't waste your time and money, never worked for me properly. Leaked constantly.
Wow this is certainly one to watch and so much competition now amongst the tubeless pumps
This seems really behind all the other companies currently. I can't see where in the market this fits in.
A 9mm 90 degree patch pump would have me banging down their door to get in line for this.
This looks like something I would for sure try!!! Cant wait!!
Agreed needs to be closed loop, also not good if you have to remove when you shower😳
Hi, libre abbott interview isn't up yet! ...
Didn’t see the Abbott interview .
Omnipod, Omnipod. The gold standard since 2010. All these others are inelegant attempts to work around Insulet's proprietary technology.
Options for us who do not want to wait years for phone compatibility
