Jagex please add better rewards to pvp arena shop. Perhaps similar rewards as the lms shop.
Also maybe increase points for actually winning a match and make losing low points. This will stop players either not fighting or leaving before the fight starts

Bots are in most world at Dagg kings too, camping safe spot of Rex like this player "eyeangives" 1600 KC in like 2 days and thats just 1 world. They typically log when a player enters the area and simply relogs every 15 mins or so untill the world is free again and restarts the grind.
Plot twist: gagex actually likes bots because it keeps money in circulation, and some botted areas get the pass for certain periods of time, just check out any world near the nw dark meyer bank and you will see nothing but thieving skillcapes botting blood shards auto closing doors, or at nex when you hop into a 2-6 man and they instantly log out when someone enters the room within milliseconds, even in nex mass worlds.

Jmods can literally spawn anything into the game at will and have shown it on streams. Why do so many people have this opinion? You guys really think jmods are running botfarms from home for pennies? It's such a stupid take.
God. Why are there so many idiots on this game. Talking out their ass as if they have 10 years of cybersecurity experience and can just magically write up a fix-all script for a detection algorithm that the entire MMO industry hasn’t been able to do for 20 years.
Manually moderating their game would solve botting. U get muted like 100% of the time for claiming u work for jagex and a lot of other silly things. If they just actually went around to the accounts that got reported like quickly ppl would care about reporting because they would see something happen. 90% of the time I save a name that I reported I can look it up a month later and it still is playing, with obvious bot stats.
There’s no way you actually believe 6 people can hand ban more bots accurately in 8 hours than the automated system can 24/7…..

When it comes to player reporting, first off prioritize reporting botters, So that bot reports are on the top of the invoices. Maybe add a reward system for players who report genuine bots. Could be a cosmetic player mod hat, a ban hammer item like the rubber chicken items etc.
You don't need a reward system. Most people would be satisfied with a notification saying "your report succeeded in a successful ban!".
Why bot blood shards when you can get a account with protect mage and save yourself the trouble of botting all the quests and just do zombie pirates.
The botting issue isn't getting better the bots just have better/easier options now with recent updates.
Jagex did not resolve the blood shard issue or the zenyte shard issue its just bot makers can make more off other content around the game without risking accounts with all them quests done + gear when you can do zombie pirates or a bot a wildy boss as zero action is being taken to stop the botting. The wildy bosses high scores are pretty much 95% bots and they remain unbanned.
Most profitable skills are also filled with bots pushing 200 million xp without bans - most stand at the GE all day skilling without logging out.

Can we just have bot detecting software like how other games integrate it into it's games files?? Also require 2 factor authentication to make an account instead of allowing people to spam account creation. EVERYONE THAT CARES THAT MUCH ABOUT PLAYING THIS GAME WOULD HOPEFULLY SUPPORT THIS FOR THE HEALTH OF THE GAME.
So when it comes to bots, Jagex usually can detect them very very well (Source: Mod Mat K). The thing is though, they don't ban them immediately because (1) too soon of a ban acts as feedback to tell botters what they're doing to get detected [usually effects complicated bots is my guess] and (2) bots are literally only bad for the players who do the content that is being botted (meaning maybe 1-10% of players) and if you aren't doing that content at that moment of the market, the bots are straight up good (the common 'make blood shards cheaper' sentiment).
When it comes to crazy pvm I have no idea what's going on. Maybe they are goldfarmers who have yet to offload or something, idk.
Partial solutions:
For reason (2), you could [in some situations] have the bots get a debuff when players are around, so the player still gets the resource instead of the bot (ex: runite mining bots). That way it's not effecting the economic impact, but they aren't as troublesome for the real players. There's probably a better example of this, but that's the one that comes to mind (aggro/damage tweaks for pvm competition like bloodshards?). I think this really only applies to a handful of bots though since most either aren't actually in competition with players (think fishing).
For reason (1), Stop making so many bosses instanced. So many bots are only visible during travel or peeking on the hiscores. If bots are more visible, players will want more of them gone more than they care about the economic impact (I think, idk this one is kinda flimsy).
TBH idk much about what to do XD, but I think you could genuinely implement something about giving them debuffs when it comes to bots that are in competition for players regarding worlds, resources, etc.
Also, Jagex: For having so many midgame updates and claiming you care about that, you sure seem to forget that if bots weren't around to do the 'menial stuff that keeps things cheap and that players don't wanna do', then the players who just need some extra cash for a bond would likely do that since now it actually makes money that's 'worth the time'. Like the whole thing is a bit of a catch 22, where one argument is "well it's not GREAT money and it's a thing people don't largely want to do, so let bots do it" but the reason it's not great money is cuz its botted, and people don't wanna do it cuz it's not great money (many people still do to save money or have as a low-effort or afk activity)
I dont think adding requirements will affect things people bot high level bosses or mobs all the time, look at kurasks for example theres mulitple bots in every world and those are 70slayer

jagex needs to knock off the false bans and the "denials are final" nonsense, if they arent final to streamers it shouldnt be for the rest of us, they need to give us a means of actually talking to them, as in a phone number, email address, a HUMAN monitored chat, not that ridiculous and hypocritical chatbot, and if they want to do something about bots, a simple option is to REQUIRE PROFILES! this business of just an email address, username and password is for the birds! they need to make players have actual profiles! and no more dozens of accounts, too easy for people to bot!
Jagex banned my Pure "Cxrl" few days ago for botting and Iv been questing!
They have banned 3 of my accounts over the years its a joke the game is over ran with bots but they ban genuine players all the time. The amount of time that goes into accounts and someone who probably doesn't even play is banning people im tired of it.

There's a massive bot farm at castle wars, they use the bank there constantly, they all dressed in runecrafting outfit, around level 70-100 and all have practically the same stats.
So you're telling me that these 'people' at leviathan with 16k+ kills in blessed dhide with a cbow are actually gold farmers playing? Im at 2k kills with bowfa and I'm already having a mental breakdown..
Essentially, the only way Jagex could make players happy, in the botting situation, is making the ban system take a more nuanced approach rather than a binary one.
My thought is to make players, who got banned and want to appeal their ban, put their account manually through a deeper verification system with more tests and history checks. Let's say that this system would take 30 minutes to complete.
- an innocent real person could actually viably save his account within 30 mintues.
- a non-innocent player would not want to use that system, because it would be more likely to expose his wrongdoings.
- a botter of tens or more botted accounts would not only need to find a way to trick the deeper varification system, but even if they do, it'll require way too much time to clear each one of the accounts.
The only problem I see is that it still doesn't solve false banning, and if the deeper varification system couldn't or wouldn't reveal a ban as a false one, then it's a real problem which might need a human eye to take on it.
Been on the zulrah grind on my iron for about a week now and on average I see 50+ bots daily with 20-30k kc and still not banned with lvl 1 stats and some barely 1k total.. Bot detection is horrible in OSRS..
Botting isn’t bad only right up until the bot scripts become fkn insanely efficient and more proficient than the average+ player. Adding reqs doesn’t actually stop bots, look at wildy mini bosses, because they just bot the stats and tasks needed. Which in turn makes them look like real players.
Heres a good idea? Move hq out of cambridge so your congress doesnt accuse you of whatever the drama was a while back with the mod so they dont accuse you of creating currency again. Now the idea is simple. Allow rwt. It does the game more good than harm. Just warn players the risks and find a few reputable companies to sponsor in exchange for a cut and tell them to change prices to be closer to a bond. Who wants fo fish sharks or karambwans? Bots are good for the economy. Not bad.
Step 1: Wait for bot farms to successfully extract the gp from their accounts and make real money.
Step 2: Ban legit players at random with no appeal option.

Weird take but i actually don't mind the bots in the wilderness i play rs for the pvp.. It creates pking hotspots and beacause nobody seems to play pvp right now it gives you some bots to kill for the downtime while looking for a pker to fight..

See the problem is that we have to talk about how bad botting actually is for the casual players who do it just to raise a skill that tend to get banned permannently compared to someone who plans to make money for buying from other players who use alot of thier time to make a product to sell on the g.e. but dayum. The bot problem is the reason i am no longer playing runescape sadly, it's just runescape 3 all over again, Jagex are just not an honest company. The proof is in the pudding just look at the hi-scores at each of the bosses and you'll clearly see this is a bot infested game yet again. My money and time is going elsewhere, and I encourage you all to make a stance and do the same until they take the action they need to take.
