60,000 US Army Soldiers from the Modern military are currently defending a hill trench defense against 6 million of every medieval army in UEBS 2 that are charging them! These are medieval knights and archers from the Mongolians, Templar Knights, Crusader Knights, Roman Army, Holy Roman Empire, Spartans, Greeks, Medieval England and more! THe egyptian sword is called a Khopesh, it's design was modeled after a sickle because it was the easiest way to train their vast peasant militia armies who were not actual soldiers with a 'proper' weapon

The khopesh was drawn from an axe, and it was an extremely effective weapon using its hooked shape to disarm a shield as well as it's curved blade made slashing through the armor of that time period very easy. Many civilizations took the design because of how massively effective it was. It was used as a symbol of royalty and power amongst the Egyptians. You're theory about it being used because of peasant farming sickle if wildly inaccurate.

One lack of realism I would point out is that pretty much all the rifle ammunition used by the US military would cut right through any of those shields or armor worn by the ancient troops. The Templars were only getting close because their shields were unrealistically sponging the bullets.
So true. Modern assault rifles would easily pierce through any medieval armor and shield like hot knife through butter.
On the flip side the Modern units would run out of ammo a long time before the ancient troops died off. Maybe the tanks could just run people over until they ran out of gas though.

I think the Medieval units deserve a second chance, and maybe have the artillery and tanks less grouped up so the medieval units can stand a chance :)

Rooting for medieval armies
To be fair in theory you could make your own ammo if you time traveled back then. The Chinese had black powder for some time before the other nations did so you could possibly make your own ammo if you could set up a supply line for it.

I don't think that was a glitch. The bodies were just piled so high and the blood turning the dirt into muddy moats that they couldn't move.

Daley don’t always put the nukes way at a the top of the hill, if they can’t see the enemy bc they are below the lip of the hill they won’t fire
This was interesting.
Medieval units would dominate in hand-to-hand combat. This war reminded me of the Starship Trooper movie with the modern soldiers using really bad tactics. The modern units didn't fight like modern military would.
Most medieval battles didn't result in slaughter until morale broke and the side routing off the battlefield was pursued and killed by the winning side. Then there's the real-world issue of exhausting ammunition--the modern units were out-numbered about 1000 to 1 and the basic load for a US infantryman is 7 magazines/210 rounds of 5.56mm rifle ammunition. Even with perfect marksmanship, the riflemen would face 800 to 1 odds in hand-to-hand combat armed with an inferior fixed bayonet versus swords and pole arms wielded by experienced warriors. As for the tactical nukes, those didn't act like nukes. The way the nukes were used would have inflicted casualties on the modern units, too. Making the tanks act like machine gun bunkers squandered the tanks' shock action. Modern infantry has armor comparable to the medieval armor in hand-to-hand combat. If the modern units went on the offensive and attacked at night, the massed medieval armies would have had severely compromised effectiveness.
Basically, the modern units failed to exploit their advantages. Where were the land mines and barbed wire?

Aw man, the ONE time the moder army would lose was fooled by a glitch. Dang. I think Medival would have won because the were barely winning ratio wise until 'the glitch' You could always re-run this to see the outcome if you have time. love ur vids!

if you knew some metallurgy, could source and refine gunpowder, and introduced basic press machines, i think you could make very functional basic bullets a thousand years ago. you couldn't probably step out of a time machine and be making good bullets by the end of the week, but once you set up a supply chain and introduce some formulas and concepts beyond their industrial evolution, i'm not sure why you couldn't resupply yourself with ammo.
what about weapons? well, you can make a functional (sort of) shotgun today with a trip to the hardware store. crude shotgun shells probably wouldn't be difficult. reliable handguns shouldn't be an issue given you improve the quality of steel. pfft, if you stepped on the field with a line of blunderbusses that's going to freak them tf out. i imagine medieval technology is sufficient enough to even make smooth bore muskets.
go into battle with a couple of .50 calibers and that battle is probably over before it really begins unless they keep charging without realizing what's going on.
i think almost any WWII weapon could be made even in the medieval times given higher quality steel and standards of quality when it comes to tolerances. i think they understood things more than we tend to give them credit for. if you're going to make the effort, you'd know what you're doing and where to find the ore deposits you need, too. springs have been around for 6000 years, but the coil spring not so much, so you have to 'invent' that for them.
4:58 tbh just get a bullet blueprint, a bullet crafting table blue print make both. And u have endless supply for a mp 5 or your sniper with a thermal scope so u are a God in the civil war there’s no going to sleep at night on battlefield with a thermal

Hi there! New subscriber here. Quick question: since you like using the US Army versus medieval warriors, to make it more realistic, why not use Apache attack helicopters, with air support from C130 gunships and A-10 Thunderbolts. And lastly, I think the Army would also use the HIMARS in these type of encounters. I know you already use missile launchers in your games, but the HIMARS or MLRS can do rapid rocket launches that would literally rain fire on the warriors. Just a thought. 😊
Those sea things are way too op. It’s bad enough when the gunners don’t have to reload or run out of ammunition, then you have those things shitting on everything. Don’t they have a recharge time or something?

And the Abrams. If I have to explain to you how nonsensical it is to have a convoy of tanks parked at the top of a mountain, instead of, ah, completely plowing through, not non-armored soldiers, guys in sandals with swords. A good analogy would be an Abrams tank doing donuts in a cornfield at about 50 mph. While shooting. 😢 Or, perhaps, one of the archers had the homing pigeon with our battle plans for lunch. 😲

medieval armor wouldnt deflect any modern bullets at all. modern soldiers shouldnt receive bounce back damage. arrows wouldnt damage modern armor either
Irl thr dead bodies would make it impossible for further advance and modern army would have much fewer deaths. But then again they would also lack the inf ammo. But the nuke would 1 shot everything

hmm...tough call, honestly I think that the modern soldiers would've won but just barely, though yeah it could've easily gone in the ancient soldier favor. and yeah, wouldn't mind seeing long full campaign style videos some time.
