Dont forget the sockliner! The Saucony daily trainers get a lot of the comfort from the PWRRUN+ Sockliner... especially the old ride and guide get even most of their cushion from the sockliner...

I’ve heard Ride 17 is plenty stable but more versatile nimble and fun. I don’t think I’d be getting either one. I’m waiting for Triumph 22 and the Speed 4 is a must have for this year.

What was the upper like in the rain? Picked up the Guide 15 last year (cheap!) after checking out reviews here, and enjoyed running in it, but it soaked the slightest rain or even surface water and had zero drainage… never had a shoe that got SO wet. Hopefully this is better, but it soured me for the guide. Didn’t have the same issue in my older speed 2 🤷🏻♂️
Guide 15 and 16 was the best stability-shoe for me. Im now worried it will lack the stability of 15 and 16. For me wider shoes does not help my pronation. It has more to do with getting the right angle.

they didnt last long with me, just couldnt make it work for me. bit slick in rain, feel dead. prefer the previous guide 15/16
right about the outsole
im no fan of guide systems, hence i use none gts variants with brooks. and only feel posts as the fatigue kicks in.@@FordyRuns

Hi Fordy I have just ordered a pair of Hoka Arahi 7 would I be better with these or would you recommend something else I have a half in September and would need them for that
How many KM in these before your review?
If you’ve never seen the channel I tend to the run shoes for a week before a first impression (this week I’ll be at 50 miles) but I’ve had the shoe a while
I’ve just bought ASICS gel Kayano 30 instead I had the guide 16 and haven’t really liked them
how you find them?
@@FordyRuns actually going out in them for the first time tomorrow I bought them for the Manchester Marathon as I did buy the Mach X then I watched your review and I also have it band pain in both legs so I wanted something a little more stable and comfortable but I will let you know after tomorrow.
Guide 15 and 16 were the best. I hate the Guide 17.
