How to Update Old Interior Doors - New Door Knobs, Hinges, and Paint

This week we upgrade all of our interior doors. They already had nice trim on them, but we had to lengthen each door as we removed the carpet previously underneath the doors. Also we gave them all a fresh coat of paint and installed all new hinges and hardware. We are in love with the new door knobs. What do you think?

I’m glad you like the hardware too! We debated over knobs versus handles but we are so happy with the ones we chose! And yes, the contrast is a great design detail

The gap at the bottom of doors is for circulation.

Yes, you are correct. However, the gap after removing the carpet was nearly 1.5” which is very large and unsightly. We added the wood to the bottom is create a 3/4” gap which is recommend for air circulation

I’d like to suggest you put the hinges on the doors first, then hang it. I find it much easier to hang and carry that way, but you may not like it 🤷🏼‍♀️
