It goes without saying that this newest version of the traditional song(s) is almost beyond belief in its simplicity and power. Nobody can pull off a vocalise as well as Dimash, the greatest vocalist I have ever heard in my 80+ years on this planet, and I've heard some really great singers along the way, and in every genre ever conceived. This is an original composed version of Ave Maria by Igor Krutoy per Dimash's request. It does share some similarities with the Caccini composition and might have been the inspiration.
Some have posited that because Igor is Jewish and Dimash is Muslim, they may have opted to forego the lyrics for this reason, which would make sense. Again, I don't believe that has been confirmed by either one.
It is important to remember that Mary (Mariam) is greatly revered in Islam, her name is even the title of one of the books in the Koran.

The pianist (Igor Krutoy famous Russian billionaire composer/music mogul) composed this piece at Dimash’s request. It’s based more on Cassini’s version of Ave Maria. If you watch the fancam of this performance, Dimash closed his mouth just once during this whole performance!

I think this is the MOST beautiful song in the world. Dimash carries us on angel wings from Earth to Heaven. Tears run down my face as I listen to this universal song of beauty, love, and hope.
Please take this suggestion with grace: do not talk over Dimash- it is very disrespectful. Please pause the video to share your ideas and opinions. Every note, or silence( musical rest), that Dimash performs has been thoughtfully chosen. Each time I listen to Dimash, I hear nuances that I had not noticed before.

I feel that this is a Prayer for Humanity, and hopefully the beautiful song that you hear when reaching the gates of heaven. The drama at the beginning was a heartbeat that was slowly losing strength and slowing down, like prior to passing, when the heart stopped, the song started, initially a cappella, then joined by piano, then the choir and the song slowly builds ❤️. I really enjoyed your reaction and appreciation of the difficulty of this performance. I would love to see your performance of Ave Maria.

Thank you. This is not one of the many 'Ave Maria's' - the most known is probably the Schubert composition. It is also not a 'Christian' song. It is not a 'version' of Schubert's or any other. This is an entirely new composition by Igor Krotoy (famous Russian composer at the piano), who composed it for Dimash at Dimash's request. Dimash is Muslim and Igor grew up Jewish. This is a universal non denominational honoring of Mary and motherhood. Dimash sings as if he is an angel. He only sings the 'ah' vowel throughout. This is a gorgeous masterpiece. It is stunningly beautiful.

This was anothert very enjoyable reaction. Dimash's rendition of "Ave Maria" is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever listened to, and only Dimash's voice could evoke such a profound emotional response in me. This rendition touches the very core of my soul. I have watched this performance numerous times already since it premiered, and no matter how many times I have already watched it, I am still moved to tears the moment I hear the first note sung by Dimash's angelic voice.
This was the final of three songs Dimash premiered in August 2021 during his appearance at the annual New Wave music competition in Sochi, Russia. He once again performed with Igor Krotoy on the piano. This is a vocalise interpretation of Schubert's "Ave Maria " 's opening vocals." Igor Krutoy composed this rendition for Dimash; it is not a cover. I read somewhere that the piece uses only three bars from the original composition and changes the fourth note to a higher note.
Someone explained that Dimash called Igor Krutoy with an idea for a brand new interpretation of Ave Maria and asked him to compose the music. Dimash is said to love Gregorian choral music, which is where he got the inspiration. Igor composed the music, after which Dimash conceived these exquisite vocals. Someone else likened it to "a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (dark to light)!"
Another “Dear” fittingly described Dimash’s performances like this: "Every time I hear this beautiful man sing, it feels like he punches a hole in my chest and holds my heart in his hands, holding it so gently, until he finishes singing. Then releases it and removes his hand from my chest, and I'm left with an empty, aching feeling which can only be filled by listening to him sing again! It's a beautifully tortured relationship with Dimash."
The last note Diamsh sings is known as "Messa di Voce," the singing of a gradual crescendo and decrescendo on a long sustained note. It is considered one of the most challenging vocal exercises, and voice experts regard it as the ultimate test for any singer, a skill even the most experienced vocalists rarely ever master.
There are at least 11 other compositions titled "Ave Maria" and over 40 different renditions of these versions. The version most people are likely familiar with is Schubert's 1825 composition or the 1853 Gounod composition, based on a famous Bach keyboard prelude written 137 years earlier. “On one of the nights, about three months before New Wave, Dimash called and asked if I could write 'Ave Maria' for him and he explained that he wanted to sing something in that style... Coincidentally, I had a spare evening, and I happily sat down at the piano and, inspired by the memory of the Italian formula of responsibility, worked until I achieved the desired result. It took me a few days to 'let' the composition 'lay' in my ears, soul and heart, and sent it to Dimash, who replied literally within half an hour that: ‘This is exactly what I wanted to hear', said Krutoy.

On the other side Schubert’s music composition (a lead) in 1825 was called Ellens dritter Gesang, based on a Walter Scott poem “The Lady of the Lake” and it was not Intended to be a religious piece originally. The Ave Maria as it is mostly known was an arrangement made a long time after. You are probably thinking about Schubert's "Ave Maria", written in 1825. This version, which is a reinterpretation by Igor Krutoy (the pianist) at Dimash's request, is probably closer melodically, to Vavilov's version, in that it contains thrice descending stanza's within thrice ascending verses. Vavilov's version was written around 1970 and is often credited to Giulio Caccini. But Krutoy/Dimash's rendition has the brilliant and unique twist that it contained no words, just those heavenly tones , from Dimash, and the choir.

The first time I heard this I kept waiting for it to become the Ave Maria that I know and love. All the way through I was trying to fit what he was singing into the other version, so was a bit disappointed when it ended. I watched it again a few times and ended up loving this version once I didn't have expectations of what I thought it should be. Always interested to watch one of your reactions to Dimash.
If I'm not mistaken, this “Ave Maria” by composer and conductor Igor Krutoy is a work in vocalize format, completely unpublished, although it seems to be a variation of the initial theme (not the introduction but the singing part) of the melody by Schubert adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore just as three initial notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note (From B4, A4 D #4 C #4 and B4 to G #4, G4, G4, D #5): Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (from dark to light)! It also seems to refer to the Russian V. Vavilov's version of "Ave Maria" (wrongly credited to Caccine) and work by JS Bach - Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, with arrangements by Gounod, which Maetro Igor Krutoy has a predilection for!

10:00 a couple of different versions.. There are over four thousand Ave Maria`s. Even Tarja Turunen wrote one. She released an album of different versions and the last one on that album (En Plein Air 2015) is her original.
