5:00 - these directions for the oil change left out one essential part: you should only change the oil AFTER the engine has been running and the oil is still hot. Otherwise, you won't get all the old oil to drain.
How can you run the engine oil out if the engine doesn't want to start in the spring.

@@reneeworkman9987 Change the oil in the fall before you put the mower away for winter. Run the gas out - the oil is nice and warm, then dump the oil and put fresh oil in. Don't let that old oil sit in your mower all winter.

Always check the gap before installing
NGK would be a better choice for a new plug.
Those blade bolts never come off that easy. You have to wedge something in there to keep blade from spinning. Also, I pick up mower to get all old oil out.
Just use DW40 on the bolts or grease that loosens the bolts then you can buy a block to wedge the blade so it doesn’t move then use the socket wrench to take off the bolt!
Just change the oil and filter plus air filter every 25 hours and you’ll save the mower and money 😊
Carburetor cleaning?
Hi Braeden, good question! A lawnmower's carburetor can get grime and lawn debris in it. Applying a small amount of carburetor aerosol spray directly to the device is enough to clean it and improve its function. We did not show it on this maintenance since the carburetor cleaning varies based on lawnmower usage. For this particular lawn mower it was not time yet. Hope that helps! Gives us a great idea for a future video!
Regular gas or mixed?

If it’s a 4 cycle engine regular gas. If a two cycle engine then a mix. Hope this helps!
If I have a full tank of gas, how do I empty the gas to change the oil? Where can the gas and oil be disposed?
Let the mower run dry with that gas, easiest way
Just buy a plastic pump to syphon all the gas out of the engine. You should be able to pump and have a plastic bottle or another plastic container to hold all the gas in.
As for the oil just buy a oil pan that holds 7 quarts of oil and get a separate one for the gas because you don’t want mix the oil and gas together. You can definitely take the old oil to Autozone the gas I’m not sure where to take that. Buy a syphon pump for the gas to drain out and tip your lawnmower over to drain out the oil. Do both steps separately!
Take the hose off of the carb by removing the pressure ring with a pair of pliers. Drain into a gas can to use later. If you are changing the air filter this is a good time to do that with the filter out of the way. Depending on where you live, some garbage/ recycling depots have drop off for old oil. Some may charge for the service. Some big box automotive stores will take and recycle old oil so just call around.
Just use 30w oil and not sny oil
