I’ve been a member of S.A.C.K. for about 3 years and I’m so proud to be a part of this mission. If I only have a few minutes, I can crochet a few rows. If have more time, more rows get done. All of my sacks are donated locally and knowing that I’m putting a smile on someone’s face is priceless to me.
I don't donate to S.A.C.K., but I DO make sacks for a local food bank, and they hold the sacks aside for the homeless clients. I find it extremely gratifying to contribute in a relatively simple, easy way and to know, even anecdotally, that what I make is REALLY appreciated. Keep up the great work, both of you. Have a great day. 🐞
I recently found out about S.A.C.K. via a previous Video on your channel and just this week, I donated my first bundle of 10 Soap Sacks to a local organization that offers shower facilities for the homeless in our community. They LOVED them and said they are going to give them to the children who use their facilities before going to school in the morning. So absolutely gratifying! Thank you both!
YES!!!! This WOULD be perfect for that! I'm sure you could reach out to the red cross or google where you could send items to help people affected by this disaster.
I did finish one yesterday just to take a break but I used your pattern and it was a half DC and I was doing a HDC. So now it's a stitch I need a break from. 😂😂😂😂
I have a tote full of cotton yarn, 2 gallon Ziploc bags full and just got more Wednesday so I can definitely make a bunch. Idk if there's anywhere in my area that will need them but I'll be looking it up because I love to crochet and would love to bless someone with something like this
Check with any local food bank or homeless service organization. It is FRIGHTENING how many ppl in our communities are in need, including needing such basic stuff like soap. Have a ball (but take care of your hands, that cotton is SUPER drying...). Have a great day. 🐞
S.A.C.K stands for Supporting A Community with Kindness. This charity supports community by making soap sacks and donating both the soap sack AND an unopened bar of soap to people in need. It's a far bigger deal than people realize and such an easy project. 😊❤️🧶
