Hello Rahul, Thanks for an interesting video. I have a quick question. I am driving in UK currently using my own car with the Indian licence since we can drive till one year. I have my driving test coming in August. So for my driving test can I go to the test centre without the driving instructor. Because it's very difficult to get the driving instructors appointment these days. Any thoughts??
Hello bro,
Your indian license with validit becomes void once you get you provisional license in the UK.
It is required to have an instructor with you when going to your test because with provisional license you cannot drive alone as per law in UK so its better you take an instructor with you.
But, A friend of mine had the same issue and he went alone to take the test and the test people did not ask anything, he atteneded the test and he passed too.
So it depends on the test centre I guess
@@LifeOfRahulUdhayakumar Thanks Rahul for the information. Okay I will try to find an instructor for my test. I am not aware that our Indian license will be void once we get provisional. I am currently driving and I thought I can drive for one year with our license.

Hi Rahul, thanks for sharing your experience, I'm driving with my indian license currently and its been 9 months since I come to UK, what wod be the ideal time line for applying provisional? I wonder should I only apply after 12 months as I heard if I apply in between my Indian licence would void, on the otherhand if I apply after 12 months one can't drive with India license and with provisional as well, please through some light on it, thanks
You pretty much said it. When you are applying for license and until you get your license you cannot drive. So you can choose when you want to apply. Once you apply for provisional license, You cannot drive until you pass ur practical test (You can drive if you have a 3 year exp driver next to you).
My entire process from getting provisional license and passing practical test was done in 2 weeks
@@LifeOfRahulUdhayakumar how was that possible? You need a provisional to take written test abd then booking practicals etc, with current time line it would alteast take 3 months🤔
@@AyalumVazhvum Ha ha no, I got my theory test booked after 3 days from receiving the provisional license. Booked practical test after the theory test 10 days after theory test and avlodhan
