I visited Morocco 6 years ago and loved the beautiful architecture and bazaars in particular. I can’t wait to go back although next time I will be more prepared for the bartering and hustling. Great video
Quite an impressive coverage starting with the streets, markets, the old fortress and various antique items also staying at such hotel must have a different feeling and never seen such a unique style of bathroom, looking more to see from Morocco.
I had chicken tagine in Valencia Spain with my Moroccan Airbnb hosts and it was easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Very hot at first. Oh, and they usually eat it with their hands. Take care, looking forward to more vids
When I've been in Marocco i figured they disguise their phone masts like palmtrees like you see here 32:09 on the left. Just a small fact i kinda liked and wanted to share here. Thanks for the great journeys Gabriel :)
It’s creepy and not creapy,. You don’t need to be brave to actually travel to Morocco, as it’s regarded to be one of the safest countries in the world.
@@stereomaster4231 It's nothing creapy about solo travelling, it was the secluded dark hotel and remote hidden streets that I had in mind. If you misteriously dissapear and become a missing person there, nobody would ever find you.

Meknes is a interesting place. There was hotel I stayed there once that had been the hot spot in the 70s. It had fallen to disrepair by the time i was there in 2000, but you could still sense the glory it had been.
BEAUTIFUL PLACE ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I am able to see all these beautiful places & people thanks to you and your travels. My health would never allow for me to visit many of these amazing places. So I guess I'm trying to let you know that I appreciate you sharing your travels and adventures with us all..
Wow, amazing experience. These hustlers seem very well experienced and trained to sell themselves as tourist guides and traders. Simply another world, such as Egypt and some other Northafrican or Arabian countries.
Funny, I had the same kind of scams in Tunisia where people tell you about these "festivals" just to lure you into their "tours". I love travelling in Arab countries but these scams gets annoying after a while.
@@s125ish You get hassled all the time. The whole country is dysfunctional. Everybody is looking for the short money, the quick scam, the easy solution. They should have a massive tourist industry - bigger than Spain's - and they should be rich because of it. But they can't stop looking to cheat you. Utterly self-defeating. You get really bored with it very quickly. My sociology lecturer, Fabian Society, progressive, lefty colleague wouldn't listen to me. He and his wife took their camper van to Morocco for (IIRC) a month. They lasted two days.
Hey man. Nice to see new episode, at first sight im not a big fan of this "super view - wide angle". DJI satisfies the eye more. Food at the end looks delicious, I hope u show us more of food they offer in Morocco.
That was so funny when you said, "Oh man, here we go again," lol. I know how you felt and that is exactly what ai would have said as well. By the way, your "tour guide" was hawking you from afar, lol... so funny
I found that the people of Meknes were quite private people. I tried to respect that when I was there. In the obvious tourist sites it is a different matter, there it is a reciprocal arrangement, both parties stand to gain.
just a tip from a morocan , dont ever be scared of saying no , dont bother explaining why you re not intersted, and the best way of getting rid of these hustlers is to simply ignore them and keep waking . the moment you stop and explain to them , they take it as an opportunity to put more pressure on you which can be very tyring on the long run .
I visited Morocco in 1984, 3 times. I had some very strange and confusing encounters with some men - think I was about to be kidnapped before police arrived - but I also had some very positive and reassuring encounters with men. Was able to reconnect with a very nice artist in Chefchaouen on Facebook in 2020. I purchased a hand made stool I lugged back tied to my backpack and still have. I wore a robe (people laughed at me because it turned out to be for a young man) and a scarf after which I felt people were more comfortable with me as a western woman. After that I began to love scarves and would wear them all the time. Eventually, it felt uncomfortable to not wear a scarf - I can imagine how women feel after wearing a burka for a long time- just so uncomfortable not to wear it.
I was in Meknes this spring and met the same Abdul character who tried to hustle me with exactly the same wording ("berber festival" etc) and mannerisms.
DJI looks fine with very natural colours & exposure .....probably the better of the two. Congrats on 500k subs Gabriel......if anyone deseves it you truly do. 👍👍😊
Great video as always. I wouldn't worry too much about which camera to use. It's how you use it that matters and you definitely have a handle on that. Laying that brick work down in that square must have taken forever.
I’ve realized in all the years of filming on UA-cam you haven’t done a live stream(that I know of) maybe when you hit 1 million subs. Stay safe Gabriel
If you want ideas of nearby places to go after Morocco, how about some of the Atlantic islands like the Azores or Cape Verde? The Azores are fascinating - I went there back in 2015 - but Cape Verde would be sunnier at this time of the year.
Well in Morocco high unemployment and very low wages and no social welfare. So people depend on tips and tourists can be hassled. But most Moroccans mean well it is just about survival.

I wrote it down but forgot to include it in the video. It was 100 dirhams or about $11 USD for the food and a bottle of water.
