- Wild Senegal parrots (Poicephalus senegalus) have never been filmed to such an extent in their natural habitat until this video. You can see them here, probably for the first time! Observe their feeding and breeding behaviour!
Audio and video recorded on site in The Gambia, West Africa, by Florin Feneru and Monica Crugel.
Big thanks for Musa Manneh, official birdwatching guide who made this possible!

Thanks to Gerrit Heij and Marc Eeckhaut from the Facebook group ‘Gambia and Senegal Birding’ for allowing me to use their photos of a colour mutation Senegal parrot.

Beautiful Cheeky Senegals
❤
I would rather hear the parrots then your stupid ass commentary
The noises remind me of Rocky, a Senegal parrot I had for 15 years. 💜💜💜
I searched for silver and I found platinum - thank you so much for this amazing videos and UA-cam channel - I hope someday to visit Africa :) Currently I am watching and taking pictures of only polish birds ;)
I hope you continue to make these videos. They are relaxing.

Hello, what is the name of the fruit that the Senegal parrot is eating in the fruit that African greys like. Can I buy that in the United States
GREEN PIGEON?! WHAT? THAT EXIST? WOW.
they are lovely
Sir, you can come to my place in Malaysia 🇲🇾 and I can bring you to capture pictures and videos on the wild Blue-Crowned Hanging Parrots
Sorry what kind of camera do you use
I really like the way you describe everything during the video. I like your work, thank you for sharing this !
I wonder why African parrots don't have long tail.
As Senegal Parrot owner who fight every single day to improve her life condition, I really loved this video.
Parrots do know each other as individuals - it has been scientifically proven via a slightly dubious egg-swapping experiment that parrots' names are given to them in the nest and are not some kind of genetically-inherited instinctive noise. Having language and individual identifiers is interlinked with the ability to refer to individuals not present, which probably wouldn't evolve if parrots quickly forgot about friends (or enemies, or plain annoyances) that weren't immediately present.
I am african
They are so beautiful and fun to watch
Thx for uploading👍
I enjoyed this, I also watched the video with my senegal parrot at home and he seemed entranced! What was the name of the different fruit they were eating in the video as I would like to try to find some of the same for my Senegal to try? :)
