I'm perfectly fine with the old GK system being thrown away. They caused the gameplay in 2016 and Eternal to have a constant stop and start rhythm that ultimately hurt the pacing and flow of their combat. Doom TDA's more updated version of GKs thankfully fixes these issues. The game can finally have a more brisk and smooth pace free from any momentum destroying moments.
