Better to give them to someone who'll get out sailing them. Many boats from the '60s to the '90s are very solid, simple and excellent to learn in. If clubs don't get more young people sailing then it will die out as a leisure activity.
The owners properly no longer pay membership or storage fees , we have had the same problem at out yacht club with a couple of boats whose owners have "disappeared " and the club have claimed the boats through the Torts act and sold them on to more enthusiastic owners to cover the loss of storage fees. .

It must be a real catch 22 for clubs. It's all good whilst people still pay but it's all too easy to just walk away and leave the problem boat behind.
hello do you have any old boats for sale or wanted to get rid of? many thanks
Aka death row every yard has one mabe the chance of a wee bargain 🤔
