- Interesting mission where we go out to interdict a battalion of enemy ground forces which are surrounded but not being destroyed by blue forces. We go in to delicately erradicate them. Meanwhile...an sa-2 sam site went live complicating our mission objective.

Great flight. I noticed that when you did an RWR reset it turned off handoff good thing that SA-2 lost lock.
I disabled the Handoff... I often do. Sometimes when working in close vicinity of multiple threats I find it can distract me and I lose more SA (I knew both locations for each SA-2 site, and one jumping into the center lethal and beeping at me takes away the focus of its location/situation). Peace and quiet in the pit also has its benefits....

Love the bms videos man, just started playing it a bit to prep for the dcs viper. Any tips for learning it in bms for the time being?
Not really.... just do small bits at a time.... learn one system, one weapon them move to the next....look in the bms docs folder on you hd.... more info there than you will ever get on flying and using a Viper in the battlefield....DCS sure looks shiny but I have a feeling you will be back to BMS for the overall experience of being a fighter pilot.... its a long but very fruitful journey to learn a Viper. Enjoy!

Code, I have to ask - what voice recognitions software do you use? I loved ATC communication part. How did you achieve to react software (VoiceAttack?) only to 'ready to taxi'?
Yeah use voice attack.... and then configure it to pick up on either keywords of phrases..... e.g. "declare contact bullseye...." will be picked up and processed as a declare for awacs to process..... "requesting overhead break" will be obviously overhead break from tower.... I find the longer the phrase and the smaller the acceptance value (25) I get very good results.... short one worders get confused and often call other commands for me.... probably because of my mixed up accent lol.....

You must buy Falcon 4.0 for a few bucks on steam, then download the BMS extension..... THen you WIll have Falcon BMS which is up to date and the most comprehensive Air Combat Simulator ever made.... ATC is all included.... head over to www.benchamarksims.org to get the BMS update for free. Pleant yo of help on the forums on how to install.... you won;t look back...
Been watching a lot of your videos and noticed you and your wingman drop seemingly random chaff/flares especially when breaking. I've noticed this is often even when you guys aren't being targeted. Why?
Many reasons, depending on the situations that arise, can be from a simple flare will signify to another a RWR threat whilst Comms are already active with a more pressing matter. Could be a simple visual reference whilst low level to keep visual. Could be used to mark a point of reference for wingmen to take note. Once you fly very regularly with a wing or strongly brief a flight on intentions of such flare drops, you tend to know what they mean. Occasionally once fenced out and near home plate maybe just some fun too... Hope that helps explain. ;)
Forgot to also say I use them in turns regularly to mark my own turn point for qucker SA...
Hmm very interesting, been into flight Sims for around 2yrs now but don't have a regular wingman to fly with, so I don't use them for communication often. I spend most of my time in DCS but have been learning a ton about vipers from your Falcon vids since the viper release in DCS. The only time I use them for communication in DCS is the "where are you?" Instance. Lol.
