It was a nice place to walk around. Had a nice feel about it. Glad the wind wasn't that strong when we went 😂

I enjoyed that. Such history. I particularly enjoyed the tranquility of the ancient well , surrounded by all the wall carvings. I’d have sat there for ages reading it all and just daydreaming 😊 x

It was very tranquil. It is tucked out of the way so we don't think if gets too many visitors. Imagine all the people from way back who have sat there just to enjoy the silence. Perfect. xx

I agree with you Daryl regarding the UK's impressive history surrounding the many historical landmark buildings. Here in the US, one would have to go to the east coast to come across anything with much historical significance. And even then, nothing like England and the rest of Europe. Thank you for giving us a wee tour. Cheers!

We have such a wealth of history. For people who are interested it is a treasure trove over here. We have just joined English Heritage so that we can get in to access more places. We have lots of places in the can as they say.
You both have a good weekend.

I must confess that I am a wee bit envious of you two being able to drive about the countryside exploring the vast history of your country. Yes, we have amazing mountains to explore here. Boondocking high up in rough country is my religion. But...Exploring in ancient ruins has always been a passion of mine. So, I'll just get my fix by watching my two wonderful friends from Nottingham venture out and about. Have a great weekend and week. Cheers!

Interesting. We have a "live" monastery nearby but we have yet to visit in Desmond.

I wonder why Doves and pigeons don't nest in there still. They don't seem to mind people
