The problem with our Kenmore is the two pins are pulling out of the drawer and have stripped their holes. There is not a mounting plate; just two drilled goes in the face of the drawer. Have tried JB Weld, but that only held the pins in tightly for a few months.
Same problem, huge design flaw. What a piece of crap they couldn't even design a handle correctly. I'm probably going to have to drill entirely into the back of the drawer and bolt through to the front of the handle, grind the ends of the bolts to pattern of the pins, and silicon the around the inside drawer for insulation. Utterly ridiculous.
So i have same problem its called a screw head insert or you drill two new holes and insert those plugs use tape to make a template if you are going to drill new holes
I missed the first part of this video before I replace my door handle and ended up electrocuting myself. Always unplug the fridge before hand. The shock damaged my bladder. But at least my wife stopped nagging about the freezer handle.

Same problem I have. Did you ever find anything that fixed it ?

I have the same problem. Dealing with no handle on my freezer drawer door for 3 years now. Huge design flaw!

Thank you, great advice
You're welcome!
T15 set screw ... where do i get the bits for that. Can I assume the Torx bits are numbered right on the bits?
Don't know if this is to late, but I have Model 253.7041. It ended up being a Torx T10.
What's the part number for those screws??!
Can i get just one of the pieces inside the handle instead of the entire assembly?

Funny how people can be so brilliant and yet the engineering on this door handle is complete crap.
