  • Hey guys, I know it's been a long time since I posted a dance video because of the progress report but now after watching this video you can hopefully understand my overall concept of trying to give you all more than just another dance video every time I release something because there's so much more to my life and things I'm trying to do than simply just put out dance videos forever. I am so glad you all have respected my new endeavors with The *Progress Report but just as happy that now I am able to release something that is the reason you guys all started watching my videos in the first place- me DANCING! yay! hahaha but Anyway down to the nitty gritty of the piece, I ended up being on a super big music drought this winter until I finally downloaded Chance's mixtape and then have been bumping it ever since-so dope that another dude from Chicago is just living his dream and started from nothing just like me, even CRAZIER is that we actually have the exact same birthday accruing to wikipedia hahah 4/16/93. Anyway, since this was kind of Chicago boy thing, I decided to include an art form that I grew up alongside my whole life which is Chicago footwork, by NO means am I really skilled at it (go look up King Charles and Footwork Kingz) but I did grow up around this style of movement and stuck to the basic steps I did know like the mike & ikes, tom n jerry, and 95's. So hopefully you guys enjoyed a lil bit of my piece of home and understand my concept that this continues from a video I shot two years ago when I used to be super insecure about my freestyle-it was until very recently that I really started to embrace myself and stop trying to fit in that I've felt comfortable being me and going in the circle to get down with everyone. So hopefully I inspire all of you to do that sooner rather than later after watching this video. No high production on this one, just a simple concept so we could focus on what all has brought us together- DANCE, like I said in the last episode of TPR, "No matter what happened today never forget who you are and where you came from".
I love you all-ps if ya'll could get Chance to see this that'd be tight-I feel like he'd appreciate a fellow Chicagoan reppin out here in LaLa land...okay sorry that was just the fan in me haha.
    Love y'all again, peace!

His choreography is so incredibly detailed... Like he literally choreographed to every SINGLE word down to the syllables of the song lyrics; and while his steps were to the lyrics, his grooves were to the back beat. I've watched this video probably over 50 times and each time around, I've noticed more dance steps 🙃. He really dissected and picked these songs apart and felt everything down to his bones, and I feel like that's what a good dancer / choreographer should do. Just wow, Amazing musicality, Amazing everything 👏. So amazing job, Ian. 2 years later, and I'm still getting chills from this video. Too bad my body and brain won't let me digest what I've been watching over and over again or else I would be attempting to do this dance myself! 😂😅😩😭

The first official Ian Eastwood video I had ever seen I saw the day after it came out, aka my 20th birthday, and it changed my life forever. Never had I ever seen someone move the way I always dreamed I could. It was like watching someone who understands how you feel about the world and process your feelings the same way and that not only touched my heart but also changed my life forever. Ian goes after what he believes in and never gives up. It has been an honor watching you grow so much in the past year and I cannot wait to see what is in store for your future. I am so flipping proud of you, it's indescribable and I cannot wait to meet you one day. Thank you for being true to yourself, your dreams, and for inspiring me everyday. With all of my love and support, now and forever, Gabi.

There's nothing wrong with his dance. I think its one of the best pieces I've seen from him and dancers around the world. He's expressing himself through his work and no one should take it personal because he's having fun. No one owns the dance and he clearly said he isn't a professional. So let praise him for his hard work instead of continuously being judgmental about his pieces when he's just being himself.
