Jeong Jeong and Iroh are very similar. They both were high ranking leaders in an army of murderers. They both had enough and quit. Jeong Jeong went down a darker path of self loathing and depression. Iroh managed to forgive himself and has moved on. One hides in a tent in the woods while the other tries to help people and deescalate situations.
Yeah, it feels like Jeong Jeong is basically disgusted by who he is and not just his past. He seems to view as not only dangerous, but even evil to some degree. The moment he shares with katara is one of my favorites, we never see other benders wish they were born with a different ability

You must keep in mind that Roku is Aang's past live (so are all the past Avatars), he is part of him, especially now that Aang has met Roku officially in ep 8. So when Jeon Jeon insults The Avatar by calling him "weak", Roku comes out saying : "you think I am weak?" Because by calling Aang weak you also mean Roku because they are one.

You should watch the VA in some recent interviews, and Comicons, it’s so cool to see! He didn’t do it for a long time, but now that it’s gotten more popular, he’s doing more. He recorded in NY, while everyone else was in Cali, so he didn’t even MEET any of them until they watched the finale, so crazy! All the VA in this show are epic, but Aang is just the best lol
Airbending is about freedom while fire bending is about restraint definitely need to approach it differently good thing Katara was able to heal her burns

Ange is right about Aang probably not being able to do healing waterbending. Sometimes it is just in the genes. As we see with Katara and Sokka and those twins from the Fortuneteller.. they’re related but one has bending and the other doesn’t

The accident was not caused by going out of order. Aang was simply too impatient, that's why he hurt Katara. At least Katara discovered she has healing capabilities because of it. If anything, this was Avatar Roku's fault. He was the one who forced Jeong Jeong teach Aang. Again, it all worked out in the end.
I might say that's why it was out of order. Because certain mentalities for an airbender avatar needs to be learnt progressively when learning the elements. Because there is a connection between the personality and the element.
Well, in Kyoshi´s novel there is a legend about the element´s order, when the Avatar tries to learn in disorder usually bad things and bad luck starts to happen, but is just a legend
I may be team Zutara, but Aang's character is perfect. He's a 12 year old that has to deal with both being "the chosen one" and adjusting to this new world that is 100 years removed from the one he knew. Aang is still that fun-loving, immature 12 year-old that never saw war, but, at the same time, he has a great capacity for learning, both in bending and in maturity, and a strong sense of duty to the world he's woken up in and his friends.
I love this. I ship neither…don’t really care either way but I find myself annoyed at a lot of Zutara shippers because Aang is my fav character (I even have a tattoo😭) and a lot of Zutara shippers shit on Aang to prove why Zutara is better which irks me! There are pros to both people just need to chill

It’s true that is important to know water and earth first, but not necessarily because fire is supposed to be last, instead because that’s the way the cycle works Fire, Air, Water and Earth is the cycle, if Aang had being let’s say originally an earth bender, he woulad have needed to lear first fire and then the other 2 Amazing reaction as always!❤

The beauty of this episode is the showcase of how Fire Nation is focused on brute force they completely abadon improving their firebending skills and barely handle the basics as well. Shooting fire can do any amateur but how about some proper control? That's why Zuko is better than whole bunch of these guys. They really do make anyone an admiral these days..

The creators (mike and Bryan) have always said katara and aang were always intended to be each other's love interests. Zuko and katara were talked about in the writers' room, but the creators said no, anything romantic that is said or shown involving aang or katara is canonically tied to the other.
No, it's not that deep. If aang had been born a water bender the cycle would then be: water, earth, fire, air. If he was born earth then the cycle would've been: earth, fire, air, water
