- It happened!! Cat's finally out of the bag. Kafka's secret is out but in this moment it had to happen to save everyone's lives! Without him turning into Kaiju form they would've died. Not going to change the outcome though as expected. Other than that, Hoshina was an absolute king and thank god for Mina coming in when she did.

It is fine and take care of yourself. Also, Episode 11 will be a decent episode, but prepare for the Last episode cause it will be peak episode probably if it will follow the manga.
little detail from the manga - Hoshina was the only one not pointing a gun or a weapon at Kafka at the end. Anime missed it, but i always loved this little detail ;-;

Hoshina's backstory is probably the main reason he's grown so fond of Kafka, he kinda was in similar situation as him. He's truly based.
Also it must be hard for Mina to make that decision as well, she must act as the captain after all.
As people said it here the custody doesn't mean "shoot to kill" or death but Mina doesn't really have a choice here even if Kafka saved their lifes. They can't just leave it like that. Regarless this was by far the best looking ep in the show. The animation/art most of the time was GREAT the new soundtrack when Kafta transformed was EPIC and fit the whole scene sooo well. Last 2 episodes are gonna be have really GOOD things to have so I'm very much looking forward to your reaction to it! P.S That's probably where i stopped reading it (ep 12) judging by where it's gonna end.

26:00 also, in their defence... they are not autonomous, they have different divisions as well working under one central. So, they must follow the procedure.... atleast, he's under custody whereas normal rule of thumb was to dispose kaiju immediately...
I just realized that “Kaiju No Eight” can be interpreted as “Eight of Kaiju”, or rather “Ate of Kaiju”, which is how Kafka got his powers.

Tbf, we still don't even know what's wrong with that kaiju that go inside Kafka(ep.1) either, it might just took over Kafka one day who knows? Just like some bad omen that Shinomiya said, "if Kafka become the dangerous thing for human she will fight him"(ep.5). So as long as we don't know what's wrong with that kaiju then we should also aware of Kafka too. So, for Mina and others officer to be aware of Kafka is make sense since it's their first time seeing kaiju no.08 this close. Also he's 9.8 fortitude, one wrong move and all of them die, so they should be aware of him.
I’m at least glad she said “Take you into custody”. Because he’ll have a chance to live.
(also, that scene when Mina said she tries not to use kitchen knives reminds me of Yor when she was learning to cook. I now need fan art of Mina trying to cook and accidentally cutting her fingers. 😂)

I did not read ahead in the manga, but after I saw this episode I did read chapter 32 (the end of this episode ends exactly at the end of chapter 32; the episode covers material starting from chapter 28). Spoilers for this episode only...

I think the anime covers the information in the manga almost exactly, with slight improvements, mostly adding a bit of info here and there that gives better context or helps to understand the action better. In the manga, it is harder to figure out just who is jumping where and such things like that, but the animation makes things more understandable.
I think the jets that came out of Kafka's wrists and ankles allowing him to "fly" is not actual flight, but kind of a more intense version of what we've seen before: the lightning-like glowing force that powers up his heaviest punches. So, he's just pushing himself upwards with the same force he uses to punch, I think. But, I think it uses up all his energy to use it continuously for so long, and it isn't real flying, which is why it ran out and he just fell back down. It also seems to wear out his body and make it start to crumble to use it like that, especially his arms and legs since that's where it comes out of. He was thinking that his arms and legs were "barely holding together" at the end.
I'm kind of hoping that he flees now, but that would only lead to a life on the run, and he's probably too weak to do anything other than surrender after exerting himself so extremely and getting hit with a nuclear bomb blast. However, the mangaka has already made very different decisions in this episode to how a story with this set-up would typically go, so maybe something unexpected like that would happen.
Now that the 🐈 is out of the 🎒, what kind of weapon is he going to be converted into?
