    Sarah and I love traveling in our RV, but the battery life is always giving me headaches. By switching from lead-acid batteries to LiTime lithium batteries, she can finally enjoy her travels without worrying about running out of power. 👍

    Nice setup. The lithium battery is a game changer and should last a lot longer than lead acid and is a lot lighter. The only thing with the lithiums that is a pain is dealing with the cold weather charging restrictions.

      Yeah. More than double the useable power storage for less than half the weight compared to our AGM battery bank. The cold weather charging limitations will probably come into play at some point, but i'm not a big fan of the cold, so hopefully I won't be spending much time in freezing daytime temperatures 🥶

    Double check your renogy install manual. I don’t believe a temp sensor is needed with a lithium battery 🤷🏻‍♂️

    The installation of this camper battery is fantastic, truly is what I wanna know, thank you for sharing. BTW, I also have one LiTime 12V 200Ah lithium battery which works exelcent.

    Great video, Matt. I haven't seen you update videos for a long time, hope you can show more about the use of LiTime lithium battery! Because I am planning to buy the one of 12V 230Ah Plus lithium batteries.

      Thanks
      So far so good as far as the @LiTime battery is concerned. Obviously I haven't had a chance to use it much, but I have been running the lights and fans in the camper while I'm working in there so its held up to the initial use.

    Do I keep my bed or go down to the frame?

    • @TheTravelingTogetherJournal
      @TheTravelingTogetherJournal  6 місяців тому +1

      If you're only going to use the truck for camping, definitely get rid of the bed. It gives you more space and freedom to design your camper and it's a quick way to drop 300 pounds of curb weight

      @@TheTravelingTogetherJournalThanks, But the sub frame would add some of that back, right?

    • @TheTravelingTogetherJournal
      @TheTravelingTogetherJournal  6 місяців тому +1

      @@othoapproto9603 Yes. My subframe was 100 pounds.
      If you are comparing it to a slide in that you can't enter unless it's in the truck or on some kind of stand to support the floor, then it is a hundred pounds that would get added back on.
      But if you are comparing it to a slide in camper that can be left on normal camper jacks and entered, then you would need additional support built into the camper floor and the camper jack lifting points, so it would probably be about the same weight as camper with subframe.

    Loving my two LiTime 200 ah batteries. Air conditioner is running off the inverter. Looking forward to being nice and cool this summer in the van.
